Today we’d like to introduce you to Tabitha Kardelis.
Hi Tabitha, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always known I wanted to create. When I was in middle school, I would draw life-size floor plans with chalk in the driveway, creating walls, entryways, furniture, lamps, and rugs. My friends and I would then play house in the spaces I designed. Looking back, I realize that my passion for design started long before I even knew it could become a career.
I went on to study interior design in college, and while I was there, I completed an internship designing and selling office furniture and helping create functional workspaces. From there, I worked for a custom furniture woodworking company, followed by a cabinetry supply company, where I truly found my passion. I spent five years designing kitchens and selling cabinetry, learning how thoughtful design could transform the way people live in their homes.
I eventually moved into a design-build firm, where my work expanded beyond kitchens to include complete bathroom renovations, basements, fireplace walls, and a variety of other spaces. That experience is where I discovered my love for the entire renovation process, from the initial concept to the final transformation.
For me, there is something incredibly fulfilling about creating a space that becomes more than just beautiful. I want to create homes and workspaces where people can feel comfortable, supported, happy, and inspired to thrive. I am a strong believer in making spaces as functional as possible, finding creative ways to incorporate storage, multipurpose solutions, and thoughtful details that make everyday life easier.
I also believe that design goes beyond what we can see. I continually educate myself and have become certified in Feng Shui, an ancient Chinese philosophy focused on creating environments that support well-being, balance, prosperity, and harmony. I incorporate these principles into my designs because I believe my clients deserve more than a space that simply looks beautiful or functions well. I want to provide an environment that supports them on a deeper level.
That belief is ultimately what led me to start my own interior design-build firm, Timeless Transformations. I wanted to build something that not only serves my clients but also creates a fulfilling environment for designers, tradespeople, and everyone involved in the process. I hope to show that there is so much more to design than meets the eye.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. While I am incredibly grateful for the journey I’ve been on, building a business and finding my place in this industry has come with its share of challenges. Starting my own interior design-build firm meant stepping outside of my comfort zone, taking on responsibilities beyond design, and learning how to manage the many moving parts of running a business. There have been moments of uncertainty, difficult decisions, and situations that have tested me both professionally and personally.
One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to balance my passion for creating beautiful, meaningful spaces with the business side of things. As a designer, I naturally want to give my clients as much as I possibly can, but I’ve had to learn the importance of setting boundaries, valuing my time, and recognizing that protecting my business allows me to continue serving my clients well.
The renovation industry also comes with its own challenges. Every project has moving parts, from contractors and materials to timelines, budgets, and unexpected surprises. Learning to navigate those situations while maintaining trust, communication, and a high level of service has been a significant part of my growth.
There have been times when I questioned myself, but those experiences have taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of continuing to learn. I believe that every challenge has helped shape me into the designer and business owner I am today.
The road hasn’t always been easy, but I wouldn’t trade the lessons I’ve learned. I’m still growing, still evolving, and still passionate about creating something that makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives. For me, success isn’t just about building a business; it’s about building something I’m proud of, something that supports others, and something that leaves a lasting positive impact.

At Timeless Transformations, we specialize in full-service interior design and renovation, creating beautiful, functional, and thoughtfully designed spaces for both residential and commercial clients. Our work ranges from kitchens and bathrooms to bedrooms, offices, entertainment spaces, basements, custom built-ins, and complete home transformations. We offer a turnkey experience, helping clients bring their vision to life from the initial design concept through procurement, project coordination, installation, and the finishing details.
What I believe sets us apart is our approach to design. We don’t just focus on how a space looks; we consider how it functions, how it feels, and how it supports the people who live and work in it. I’m passionate about finding creative solutions, whether that’s maximizing storage, incorporating multipurpose features, improving flow, or transforming areas that might otherwise be overlooked. I love making things functional in ways people may not have initially imagined.
I’m also deeply passionate about incorporating Feng Shui principles into my designs. I believe our surroundings can influence our sense of peace, balance, and well-being, and I want to bring that perspective into every project. While aesthetics and functionality are essential, I feel that thoughtful design has the potential to offer so much more.
What I’m most proud of is the ability to take an idea, sometimes one that a client can’t fully visualize yet, and turn it into a space that genuinely improves their everyday life. Seeing a client experience excitement, relief, comfort, or a renewed sense of pride in their home is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
I’m also proud of the business I’m building and the opportunity to create an environment where designers, tradespeople, and other professionals can feel valued, supported, and excited to contribute. I want Timeless Transformations to be known not only for beautiful transformations, but also for thoughtful service, creative problem-solving, and a genuine commitment to the people we work with.
Ultimately, I don’t believe design is just about selecting the right tile, cabinetry, or finishes. It’s about creating a cohesive environment that supports the way people live, work, and feel. We don’t just design spaces; we create homes that support how you live and elevate how you feel. That’s the heart of what I do, and it’s what I hope continues to set Timeless Transformations apart.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
There are so many resources that inspire me, both personally and professionally, and I believe that continuing to learn and grow is one of the most important things we can do.
One book that has had an impact on me is A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. I appreciate the perspective it offers on mindfulness, awareness, and learning to step outside of our own thoughts. I also enjoy reading books about Feng Shui. There is always something new to learn, and I love exploring how different principles can be applied to create more balanced and harmonious environments.
Pinterest is probably my favorite app. I love how much creativity it holds and how it encourages out-of-the-box thinking. It’s a wonderful resource for discovering new ideas, exploring unique design concepts, and finding inspiration that I may not have considered otherwise.
I also listen to a variety of podcasts, including Hot Young Designers Club and Claim Your Power. I enjoy learning from others, hearing different perspectives, and finding inspiration that I can bring into both my work and my personal life.
Another resource that has made a meaningful difference for me is yoga. When you’re managing a renovation project with so many moving parts, it’s easy to become overwhelmed and get caught up in everything happening around you. Yoga helps me step away from that mental noise, reconnect with myself, and create space to breathe. When I return, I feel refreshed and am often able to approach challenges with a clearer mind and new perspective.
I believe inspiration comes from everywhere. Whether it’s a book, a podcast, a beautiful image on Pinterest, or simply taking a moment to reconnect through yoga, I try to remain open to learning. There is always more to discover, and I think that curiosity is what allows us to continue growing, both in our work and in life.
