Rising Stars: Meet Dana D’Auria of Pennsylvania

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dana D’Auria.

Hi Dana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey with Web Atelier Studios started from a genuine love for creativity and an interest in how a strong brand can completely change the way a business is perceived. I’ve always been someone who notices the little details — how something looks, how it’s presented, how a story is told, and what makes a brand feel memorable.

Over time, I started teaching myself more about graphic design, social media, branding, marketing, and web design. What began as an interest gradually turned into a skill set that I could use to help other businesses. I found that I especially loved taking someone’s idea or vision and turning it into something cohesive, professional, and visually compelling.

That eventually led me to create Web Atelier, where I bring those different pieces together — website design, branding and logos, social media, digital marketing, and overall digital presence. My goal is to help businesses not only look good online, but actually communicate who they are and connect with the people they want to reach.

I’m still growing and evolving with the industry, which is one of the things I love most about this field. Digital media is constantly changing, so there’s always something new to learn, experiment with, and create. Web Atelier is really a reflection of that — a creative business built around helping other businesses bring their ideas to life online.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There have been a lot of moments where I’ve had to figure things out as I went, especially because I didn’t start with a traditional background in web design, marketing, or business.

One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to wear so many different hats at once. When you’re building something yourself, you’re not just the creative — you’re also the marketer, salesperson, project manager, accountant, customer service, and everything in between. There have been plenty of times when I’ve questioned whether I was doing enough or whether I was taking the right direction.

Another challenge has been learning not to compare my journey to people who are further ahead. Social media makes it very easy to see the finished product of someone else’s business without seeing all of the trial and error that happened behind the scenes. I’ve had to remind myself that growth doesn’t always look linear.

I’ve made mistakes, changed direction, learned new skills, and had to push through periods where things didn’t move as quickly as I wanted them to. But honestly, those experiences have probably shaped me more than the easy moments. They’ve taught me to be adaptable, to keep learning, and to trust myself enough to keep going even when I don’t have everything figured out yet.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Web Atelier is a digital media and creative studio focused on helping businesses build a strong, cohesive presence online. I specialize in website design, branding and logo design, social media management and strategy, content creation, and digital marketing.

What I really love is bringing all of those pieces together. A website shouldn’t feel disconnected from a company’s logo, social media, photography, messaging, or overall identity. I approach branding as a complete experience and pay a lot of attention to the small details that make everything feel intentional and polished.

I work with businesses at different stages — whether someone is starting from scratch and needs an entire brand built, or they already have an established business but feel like their online presence no longer represents the quality of what they offer. I enjoy taking something that may feel scattered or outdated and turning it into something modern, cohesive, and recognizable.

I’m most proud of being able to take an idea that exists in someone’s head and turn it into something tangible. There’s something really rewarding about watching a client go from “I have no idea where to start” to seeing their business represented in a way that finally feels like them.

I think what sets me apart is that I’m very hands-on and genuinely care about the creative process. I’m not interested in giving every client the same template or making a business look like every other business in its industry. I want to understand the personality, goals, audience, and vision behind a brand and build something around that.

Ultimately, I want Web Atelier to be more than a company someone hires to make them a website. I want it to be the creative partner they can come to when they’re ready to elevate how their business shows up in the world.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love most about Philadelphia is the sense of community and the social life. There’s always something happening, and I love that you can find so many different types of people, neighborhoods, restaurants, events, and creative communities all within the city. There’s a certain energy to Philly that I really enjoy — it feels lively, social, and authentic.

What I like least is that some areas of the city are affected by issues like homelessness, drug use, and crime, and I think that can take away from the experience of an otherwise incredible city. There’s so much that I love about Philadelphia, and I’d love to see the city continue growing while preserving the character and community that make it unique.

Go birds!
