Today we’d like to introduce you to Queen Zina Thrower.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was an executive banker in the financial industry for over eleven years, serving with excellence, integrity, and a commitment to growth. I helped lead my financial center to become number one in the company and successfully retained million‑dollar clients. Yet despite my dedication, I was let go due to corporate downsizing — a moment that shook the foundation of my life.
Losing my income meant losing my stability. I had two children in college, a mortgage, and credit card debt. Overnight, everything I had built felt like it was slipping through my fingers. I became financially unstable, overwhelmed, and unsure of how to support myself or my family. I hit rock bottom and ultimately filed for bankruptcy — not out of failure, but out of a determination to regain control of my life.
After being unemployed for a year, I finally secured full‑time employment. But the climb back was long. It took me twelve years to dig myself out of the hole I found myself in — twelve years of rebuilding, learning, healing, and refusing to give up.
In 2021, I became a co‑author of my first book, Blessed Not Broken, Vol. 3: The Power of Transformation. Between 2023 and 2025, I co‑authored three more anthologies: Breaking the Silence, Unleashing the Power of Your Voice, Trailblazers, and Letter to the Little Girl. My voice, once silenced by hardship, became a tool for healing and empowerment.
In 2022, I launched my podcast, Purpose in Motion, which grew beyond borders and became international — proof that purpose will always find its way when you walk in alignment. Also, in that same year with God at the fore front of my life, He changed my name from Zina Thrower to Queen Zina and the rest is Herstory.
In 2023, I became a Certified Midlife Coach with a concentration in finances. That certification birthed Zee Tee Enterprises LLC – Financial Solutions, where I now empower professional women to take control of their finances using Godly principles. My pain became my platform. My setback became my assignment.
And I made myself a promise: I will never allow a company to have control over my life again. I am walking in purpose, on purpose — and helping other women do the same.
All of this from a woman who was a teen mother at 14 years old, a mother of three by 25 years old and very little education.
The results of my resilience, determination and God’s grace and wisdom put me in the position of a 3x bestselling author, an International Podcaster, an entrepreneur and a servant for God and His Kingdom. I am Purpose in Motion.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My road wasn’t smooth — it was steep, painful, and humbling.
Some of my struggles were: Feeling unvalued by others standards. Learning how to rewrite my resume after not having one for so long and interviewing again and hearing the word “No” you’re overqualified for the job. Having to humble myself to work under the management of my youngest daughter.
But it taught me resilience.
It taught me stewardship.
It taught me purpose.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Certified Midlife Financial Coach, who empowers professional women to take control of their finances using Godly principles and mindset transformation. I specialize in helping women rebuild after financial hardship or setbacks. I’m know for my transparency, my testimony, and my ability to merge faith, financial strategy, and real‑life experience to help women rise with confidence and purpose. I’m most proud of turning my lowest season into my life’s assignment. What sets me apart is my authenticity and my vision to see each woman succeed and thrive with purpose. I’ve been where they are and my purpose to is reassure them that they are not alone.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I think everything in life has a risk, love, money, trust, and etc.
Investing in myself, was a risk financially and mentally, even when fear and doubt told me I couldn’t do it
I took a risk on my coaches, my writing coach, my podcaster coach, my certification coach and my business coach. not knowing where I was going but it was worth the risk.
If we never take a risk, how would you know what you’re capable of achieving .
