Today we’d like to introduce you to Meredith Baker.
Hi Meredith, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have always loved flowers, a love birthed from my grandma’s discipleship in finding beauty in the ordinary, everyday moments. At a young age, I found joy in wildflowers as I roamed the fields of my home state of Michigan. My obsession matured with me as I grew, and my homegrown infatuation came to fruition when my husband and I got married at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in May 2020. Our wedding dreams of hundreds of family and friends turned into an intimate ceremony with our immediate family. I made our centerpieces with a carefully curated collection of blooms from Trader Joe’s, and I fell in love with floral design.
Fast-forward to 2023, when a friend asked if I would “bloom” their wedding, and I responded with an overly confident “yes.” A few friends’ weddings later, along with encouragement from fellow creatives and wedding-industry professionals and with the unwavering support of my husband, Baker’s Blooms was born!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Business ownership has presented a unique set of challenges. I constantly experience the tension of “just wanting to design pretty flowers” and having to manage the business side of Baker’s Blooms. My “smooth road pavers” are my family and friends that have believed in me, cheered for me and even helped out in our workshop.

We’re a family-owned and operated floral design company based in Carlisle PA, serving clients in Central Pennsylvania and beyond. We specialize in weddings, events, and pop-up bloom bars, with a passion for creating bloom-heavy floral designs.
Our heart is championing our clients’ visions and bringing them to life. Whenever possible, we’re proud to source local blooms and support the growers in our community. I’m most proud of the relationships that we have forged through our experiences. It’s an honor to bloom peoples’ best days and be a part of memories that will last forever.
How do you think about happiness?
Seeing a bride’s face when I deliver her bouquet. There’s just nothing quite like the moment that their Pinterest-board comes to life and they get to hold the bouquet of their dreams. One of our promises is to hand-deliver our clients flowers and ensure they love their blooms, a promise that we take pride in.
