Our story began with two brothers, Florin and Marco Matranxhi, who share a passion for Italian cuisine, hospitality, and bringing people together through food.
Florin, the chef and owner, has always been driven by his love for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences. Marco, who leads the front-of-house operations and is also an owner, focuses on making every guest feel welcome and ensuring that each visit is special.
Together, we built Adoro, a restaurant that became a reflection of our hard work, dedication, and vision. Seeing the support and success of Adoro inspired us to take the next step in our journey. We decided to expand into Bella Vista, Philadelphia, with a new restaurant, Ravello.
For us, Ravello represents more than just a second location. It is an opportunity to grow, explore new ideas, and create a new dining experience while staying true to the values that brought us here. As brothers and business partners, we are proud of how far we have come and excited for what the future holds.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. Building a restaurant from the ground up takes a lot of hard work, patience, and sacrifice. As brothers and business partners, we have faced the challenges that come with running a restaurant, from managing daily operations and building a strong team to maintaining high standards and earning the trust of our guests.
One of the biggest challenges has been balancing everything while continuing to grow. The restaurant business requires constant dedication, long hours, and attention to every detail. There are days when things don’t go as planned, but those moments have taught us to stay focused, adapt, and keep moving forward.
What has helped us most is our relationship as brothers. We share the same vision, support each other through difficult moments, and remind ourselves why we started in the first place. The success of Adoro has shown us that hard work and consistency can pay off, and those lessons have given us the confidence to take the next step with Ravello. We know there will be new challenges, but we see them as opportunities to learn, improve, and become better at what we do.

Florin, as chef and owner, specializes in Italian cooking and brings creativity, passion, and attention to detail to every dish. Marco, as owner and front-of-house manager, focuses on hospitality, guest relationships, and making sure every detail of the dining experience comes together.
What sets us apart is that we are brothers building something together, with a shared vision and a personal connection to everything we do. We believe a restaurant should be more than just a place to eat. It should be a place where people celebrate milestones, spend time with family and friends, and create lasting memories.
What we are most proud of is the community we have built around Adoro and the trust our guests have placed in us. Their support has given us the confidence to open Ravello in Bella Vista, where we are creating a new Italian dining experience with its own identity, inspiration, and personality.
