Today we’d like to introduce you to Jesse Hoffman.
Jesse, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In 2023, Jesse Hoffman had a dream to start his own business. Working a full-time job at a church, he decided he wanted to start a side hustle to help supplement his family’s income and build something he could call his own. In 2024, with his brother’s help, Jesse built his first coffee cart with some sheets of wood and a refurbished tabletop from Facebook Marketplace. Together with his wife, Hannah, they decided to start New Life Coffee Company, a Christian-based company serving coffee experiences from their new life found in Jesus Christ. Jesse and Hannah started off their business journey with a private event, a soft launch for family and friends, serving complimentary drinks to get experience under their belt. Within a few months New Life Coffee Company served their first $1,000 event, exceeding expectations as to what this business could produce. In 2025, after lots of sweating and realizing version 1 of the cart needed to retire, Jesse built a more mobile and solid cart, which is in use today and serves regularly at billion-dollar companies in Philadelphia, PA and beyond.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey of business ownership hasn’t always been easy. Thousands of hours have been spent along the way, from planning to website optimization to execution of the events. A few times there have been close calls that almost jeopardized thousand dollar events. From a water pump cord not working to a grinder freezing up, there have been a few issues that had to be navigated mid-event, all thankfully not compromising execution of service.

We work with companies in Philadelphia, NYC, MD, and NJ, branding our cart, cups, and menu to suit their event needs. Were more than just coffee, we’re a premium experience company.
Any big plans?
We look forward to moving into a warehouse space in 2026 to operate our fleet out of. We also are excited to grow our fleet size and continue working with some of the largest companies in Philadelphia, like Comcast and Jefferson Hospital!
