Today we’d like to introduce you to Jane Hodson.
Hi jane, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started baking as a hobby 15 years ago and learned primarily by watched youtube, We briefly moved to Arizona and that is where Jane Baked It was born. I sold to the local community. In 2025 we relocated to Media and reworked our business model with a focus not only on custom cake design, but also community events and retail.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being a custom cake baker from home has its challenges. As I grow I am finding the need to find a commercial kitchen. I also would very much like to network to build a food hall type venue so Jane Baked It can be in a shared space in Delco!

I am a custom cake artist that focuses on made from scratch recipes highlighting locally sourced ingredients.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Joining the local Chamber of Commerce has been a wonderful experience.
