Meet Faery Jones of Pennsylvania

Today we’d like to introduce you to Faery Jones.

Hi Faery, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I starter working in the wedding industry when I was 18 as a server for a catering business. At the time I was in an extremely abusive relationship. One day I showed up to work with a bruised face. The owner of the company saw me and took me under her wing. She not only showed me the ins and outs of the event world but she saved my life. I’m eternally grateful for her to be able to be alive and do what I do now.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, I have had a lot of struggles. When I first started my business I dealt with alot of simple things struggling with marketing and booking. I’ve also struggled with racism while working at a wedding from other wedding vendors. The wedding industry is very behind in inclusivity.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
The Bridal Faery specializes in bridal styling with a personalized, culturally mindful approach, helping brides create beautiful wedding looks while honoring traditions, heritage, and the details that make their celebration unique. I focus on enhancing each bride’s individual style so they feel confident and truly themselves on their wedding day.

What sets me apart is combining styling with emotional support and attention to cultural significance, creating an experience where brides feel seen, supported, and celebrated. I’m most proud of helping brides honor both their personal style and cultural identity on one of the most important days of their lives.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice for those just starting out is to study fashion, but also study people and cultures. Learn not only about different wedding traditions, but also family dynamics, music, food, and the meaning behind cultural celebrations. Understanding these details helps you create more thoughtful, personalized experiences for clients. I also wish I knew earlier that listening and building trust is just as important as having a good eye for style.
