Meet Dylan Loeffler of Summit Performance and Physical Therapy, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dylan Loeffler.

Dylan, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey into physical therapy and performance began with my own battle with childhood obesity. After losing 60 pounds during my senior year of high school, I discovered a passion for fitness, human performance, and helping others transform their health.

That passion led me to Slippery Rock University, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Doctorate in Physical Therapy. I began my career in the traditional, insurance-based physical therapy model, where I quickly recognized a major gap: patients often weren’t receiving everything they could from their appointments, and the healthcare system was largely focused on treating problems after they occurred rather than preventing them in the first place.

That realization became the driving force behind the creation of Summit Performance and Physical Therapy.

Founded in March 2026, Summit Performance is a self-pay, independently owned physical therapy and personal training clinic built around one-on-one, evidence-based care. We combine cutting-edge physical therapy with custom-designed personal training programs to give each individual the time, attention, and personalized approach they deserve.

Since opening, Summit Performance has quickly become one of the fastest-growing clinics in the North Pittsburgh region. But our mission goes far beyond growth.

We believe healthcare should be proactive, not reactive.

At Summit Performance, we’re changing the traditional healthcare model by emphasizing preventative care, individualized treatment, and long-term performance. Our goal isn’t simply to help people recover from injury—it’s to help them build stronger, healthier, more capable lives and prevent those injuries from happening in the first place.

We don’t stand for reactive care. We’re building a better model for physical therapy, fitness, and long-term health.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not always been a smooth road for Summit Performance and Physical Therapy. I have been faced with many challenging decisions along the way such as leaving the comfortability of my previous 9-5 to pursue my business further. The decision allowed for more time and resources to be spent on marketing and growing my skill set as a clinician. During this time, I became Functional Dry Needling certified through EIM and have rapidly integrated these new methods into our practice.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Summit Performance and Physical Therapy, LLC?
Summit Performance and Physical Therapy is a physical therapy and personal training clinic dedicated to helping people move better, perform at their best and invest in their health.

Summit is known for working with athletes and “weekend warriors” ranging from ages 8 to 60. However, our bread and butter are active, family-first individuals who are ready to make their health a priority.

While we believe the services we provide at Summit are top-notch, what truly sets us apart is our fun, welcoming atmosphere and personalized, one-on-one care. We take the time to get to know each client—not just as a patient, but as a person. Over time, those relationships become something special. At Summit Performance and Physical Therapy, our clients become like family.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memories were shaped by the time I spent with my neighbors in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. Cranberry Township is truly an amazing place to raise a family, and I had the privilege of experiencing it firsthand.

Our neighborhood felt like sacred ground for childhood. We rode our bikes through the streets, played video games together, and spent afternoons drawing on sidewalks with chalk. These may seem like simple moments, but to me, they represent something much greater: the freedom, friendship, and sense of community that made childhood so special.
