Meet Christopher Stager of Bethlehem

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Stager.

Hi Christopher, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Absolutely. My path into real estate wasn’t traditional, but looking back, it makes perfect sense. Before getting into this business, I spent over a decade as a PGA Golf Professional. I was competing, coaching, and really learning how to perform under pressure. Golf teaches you discipline, patience, and how to stay focused when every move matters, and those lessons have carried directly into my real estate career.

About 15 years ago, I made the transition into real estate and joined Century 21 Pinnacle in Bethlehem. At the time, I saw a lot of similarities between reading a golf course and reading a real estate market. Both require strategy, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate what’s coming next. I also had a background in computer science, which gave me an edge early on when it came to marketing and understanding how to leverage technology.

From the beginning, I approached real estate a little differently. I didn’t just want to list homes, I wanted to market them. I focused on building a strong online presence, creating high quality content, and really showcasing properties in a way that stood out. That approach helped me grow quickly and build a reputation in the Lehigh Valley as someone who puts in the extra work to get results.

Over time, that grew into what is now the Chris Stager Real Estate Group. Today, we serve buyers and sellers throughout Bethlehem, Nazareth, Easton, and the greater Lehigh Valley. I’ve been fortunate to earn several professional designations and recognition along the way, but what I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built with my clients and the relationships that continue long after the transaction is done.

At the end of the day, I still approach this business the same way I approached golf. Be prepared, stay disciplined, and always put people first. That mindset has made all the difference in getting me to where I am today.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, and I think that’s true for anyone who’s built something meaningful over time. When I first got into real estate, I was essentially starting over. I went from a structured career in the golf industry to a business where you’re responsible for everything. There’s no guaranteed paycheck, and you have to build your reputation from the ground up.

One of the biggest challenges early on was learning how to generate consistent business. Real estate isn’t just about helping people buy and sell homes, it’s about marketing, lead generation, and staying top of mind in a very competitive space. There were times where I had to really bet on myself, invest in my business, and trust that the work I was putting in would pay off.

The market itself has also brought challenges over the years. We’ve seen shifts, low inventory, changing interest rates, and periods where buyers and sellers both had to adjust quickly. Navigating those changes while still delivering a great experience for clients takes constant learning and adaptability.

Another challenge, especially as things grew, was building a team and systems that could keep up with the level of service I wanted to provide. Letting go of control in certain areas and trusting others was a big step, but it was necessary to grow.

At the same time, those challenges are what shape you. My background in golf really helped because I was used to staying disciplined, working through setbacks, and focusing on long term improvement. Every obstacle forced me to get better, whether that was improving my marketing, communication, or overall strategy.

Looking back, I wouldn’t change any of it. The challenges are what built the foundation for where I am today.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At the core, I help people navigate one of the biggest decisions of their lives, whether that’s buying their first home, selling a property, or relocating to the Lehigh Valley. Over the years, I’ve built the Chris Stager Real Estate Group to serve clients throughout Bethlehem, Nazareth, Easton, and the surrounding areas, and we really focus on delivering a high level of service from start to finish.

I specialize in both listing and buyer representation, but where I really stand out is in how I market homes. I’ve always believed that simply putting a property on the MLS isn’t enough. Today’s market requires strong digital marketing, high quality visuals, and a strategy behind every listing. That’s something I’ve leaned into heavily, and it’s helped me build a strong presence on social media and get more eyes on my clients’ homes.

I’m also known for being very hands-on and responsive. My clients know they can reach me, get honest advice, and feel confident in the decisions they’re making. I take a lot of pride in building relationships, not just completing transactions. A lot of my business comes from repeat clients and referrals, which to me is the biggest sign that I’m doing things the right way.

What I’m most proud of is the consistency over the years. Real estate can be very up and down, but I’ve been able to grow year after year while maintaining a high level of service. Being recognized as one of the top real estate agents on social media in Pennsylvania and receiving awards like the Century 21 Quality Service Producer are great honors, but what matters most to me is the trust my clients place in me.

What sets me apart is a combination of discipline, marketing, and mindset. I bring the same preparation and focus from my background as a PGA professional into every deal. I approach each listing with a clear plan, and I’m always looking for ways to stay ahead of the market, whether that’s through technology, content, or strategy. At the end of the day, I don’t treat this like a part-time job or just a sales role. This is my business, my brand, and something I take very seriously every single day.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
The easiest way to work with me is simply to reach out. Whether someone is thinking about buying, selling, relocating, or even just has questions about the market, I’m always open to having a conversation and pointing people in the right direction. A lot of times it starts with a quick call, a message on social media, or through my website, and we take it from there.

I’m also always open to collaborating with other local professionals and businesses. Real estate naturally connects with so many industries, whether it’s lenders, contractors, business owners, or people creating content in the community. I enjoy building relationships and finding ways to support each other while also bringing more value to our clients.

For those who want to support what I do, the biggest thing is referrals and engagement. When people think of me or share my name with a friend or family member who needs help with real estate, that means everything. Following along on social media, engaging with my content, and staying connected also goes a long way in helping me continue to grow my business.

At the end of the day, I try to make myself accessible and easy to work with. I’m always here as a resource, whether someone is ready to make a move today or just starting to think about it.

Pricing:

  • For sellers, commission is typically a percentage of the final sale price and includes full-service marketing, negotiation, and guidance from listing to closing. I tailor my approach to each property to maximize exposure and results.
  • For buyers, in many cases my services are covered through the transaction, meaning there is often little to no out-of-pocket cost for representation. I always walk buyers through exactly how that works so there are no surprises.
  • I offer professional marketing as part of my listing services, including high-quality photography, video, social media promotion, and targeted online exposure.
  • Every situation is different, so I provide customized consultations to go over pricing, strategy, and expectations based on each client’s specific goals.
