Today we’d like to introduce you to Jay VonCzoernig.
Hi Jay, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
vonC brewing has brewing lineage dating back to 1860, Our family started Schmidt’s Brewing Co. back in 1860, I wrote the original business plan for vonC as a senior project at Northeastern Univ. in 1993. Brewing is in our blood and the Og Pils is the family recipe dating back to 1860 and won gold at the world beer cup in 2023 aas the best American pilsner in the world.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
after a 4 year buliding search we signed our lease the March before the pandemic hit. 15 days after we signed our lease the world shut down. not a fun experience
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We brew tradition beers, true to style. and bring back a bit of Philadelphia history
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
its all about building relationships, and working hard
