Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
As an immigrant from Ecuador, I never imagined that one day I would own my own business. After the pandemic, when everything was shut down, I decided to start Dos Manos Massage. During that difficult time, I reflected on ways to help individuals who were struggling with personal challenges and uncertainty about the future.
Years later, my dream became a reality because I believed in myself and my vision. I built a business that is more than just a place to relax — it is a safe and welcoming space where members of the LGBTQ community can feel supported, confident, and good about themselves.
Building meaningful relationships is the key to helping others have a better day and a brighter future. I see clients from all over the country, and what makes me different is that I truly listen to them — not only as clients, but as friends and individuals who can share their life experiences with me.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been a great learning experience for me, especially learning about marketing, financial strategies, social media, scheduling, and running a business overall. Some of the biggest challenges included preparing myself through schooling, becoming licensed, and going through the process of building a successful business with a strong reputation.

Dos Manos Massage was created to help individuals, especially within the LGBTQ community, as someone who personally identifies with and understands those experiences. Since day one, I have worked independently and focused on creating services that go beyond standard massage treatments by offering clients more personalized options.
I specialize in Swedish massage combined with therapeutic techniques and a series of stretches designed to help clients feel both relaxed and restored. I also provide body scrubs, a service that many massage therapists do not offer. Having performed over 200 body scrubs, I have found that combining them with massage creates a truly beautiful and rejuvenating experience for my clients.
How do you think about happiness?
Personally, what makes me happiest is having the opportunity to provide massages that truly make a difference in people’s lives. Hearing feedback from my clients that their experience was life-changing and exactly what they needed is incredibly rewarding to me.
Seeing myself grow into a skilled and trusted therapist also makes me very proud, especially because I believed in myself from day one. Having my own space and building a business that reflects my passion and values has been one of the greatest accomplishments of my life.
