Hidden Gems: Meet Tyriee Kasper of Extraterrestrial Music Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyriee Kasper.

Hi Tyriee, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I got into the music business late 2018, early 2019 ish after being incarcerated. I got into music because alot of people I was around at the time were involved with music or were music artist and all had the same complaints which were the lack of authentic marketing, artist development or not having people involved with their careers who genuinely wanted them to succeed. As I listened I related a lot and felt that using my experiences, work ethic and background could impact them positively. I started by doing management, development and learning how to do marketing and promotion. It quickly felt natural and I started to help a lot of business and artist increase their traction. In 2020, while in Atlanta I decided it was a good time to create my record company Extraterrestrial Music Group. Through the up and downs, year after year I find an increase in progress.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has its up and downs. The main struggled I’ve had is funding. I have managed to grow the brand completely out of pocket, with that times are slower than others.

We’ve been impressed with Extraterrestrial Music Group, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Extraterrestrial Music Group specializes in talent management, development and marketing. What sets us apart from others is our ability to have an immediate impact with those we are working with. We have a strong ability to market and understand our clients and where they need to go professionally. I’m most proud of my ability to be resilient.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I feel integrity is important. The music business is full with those looking to take advantage of artist. So artist knowing that we genuinely want to help them succeed and can be trustworthy resource for them is important to our success.
