Hidden Gems: Meet Michael M Hughes of Kingstkickboxing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael M Hughes.

Hi Michael, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started coaching striking at High Voltage during Covid. We shut down so I kind of picked it back up in my driveway. Training 6 feet apart had an opportunity to get space in the Pottstown athletic club building on the second floor we grew and evolved into Kingstreet there. I met my future wife who is also a Muay Thai fighter. We both had addictions in our past so it’s a passion we share in providing a safe place for anyone and everyone to work out.. Helping students with little to no confidence how to hold ur head up high, lose weight, self defense and even compete.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like most businesses, there are ups and downs, and all rounds and we have proven that Kingstreet persevere through any challenge we are a united front/family

As you know, we’re big fans of Kingstkickboxing . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I created this business to help young men and women become the best versions of their self whether they’re dealing with depression, anxiety, drug addiction, or just fitting in in society, we train these people to gain confidence and learn how to persevere through any challenge . As coaches we were many hats.. coaching, counseling, parent figures.. our youngest student is 3 and our oldest is almost 70. We are a tight nit gym/family who supports one another in all aspects of life.
