Today we’d like to introduce you to Elana Lieberman.
Elana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve been a Licensed Massage Therapist for over 15 years, and my career has taken me through a lot of different experiences in the massage and wellness industry. Over the years, I’ve developed a passion for helping people feel better in their bodies—whether that means working through chronic tension and pain or simply giving someone the space to relax and reset.
I specialize in deep tissue massage and have continued to expand my training into areas like lymphatic drainage, prenatal massage, and Manual Facial Sculpting. I love learning new techniques and finding ways to bring something different and genuinely helpful to my clients.
After years of working for other businesses, I decided to take the leap and open Even Flow Massage Studio. Having my own space has allowed me to create the kind of experience I always wanted to offer: personalized, effective massage in an environment that feels welcoming, comfortable, and a little more personal.
At the end of the day, I love what I do because I get to help people feel better, and I’m still excited to keep learning and growing in this career after all these years.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest challenges along the way has been realizing just how physically demanding this career can be. Massage therapy requires a lot from your body, and learning how to take care of myself while continuing to take care of others has been an ongoing process. Another challenge has been learning to really tune into each individual client. Every body is different, and what works for one person may not work for another. Over the years, I’ve learned that being a good massage therapist isn’t just about knowing the techniques, it’s about listening, paying attention, and understanding what each client needs in that moment.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Even Flow Massage Studio is a place where I can do massage the way I believe it should be done. After more than 15 years as a massage therapist, I wanted to create a practice that felt personal, comfortable, and focused on what each individual client actually needs.
I’m best known for deep tissue massage and helping people with chronic tension and those areas that just never seem to let go. I also offer lymphatic drainage, prenatal massage, and Manual Facial Sculpting, which has become a really fun specialty for me.
What I think sets me apart is that I really pay attention to my clients. I don’t just follow the same routine every time someone comes in. Every body is different, and I want to understand what someone is feeling and adjust my work accordingly.
I’m most proud of the fact that Even Flow feels like me. It’s professional and intentional, but it’s also relaxed and welcoming. I want people to feel comfortable being themselves, knowing they’re going to get quality, personalized work every time they come in.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Something else that is a big part of who I am is my Catholic faith. My faith has really shaped the way I look at people and the way I approach my work. I try to meet people where they are, listen without judgment, and treat everyone with kindness and compassion. In a lot of ways, that carries over naturally into massage. I’m spending my days caring for people, creating a space where they can slow down and feel comfortable, and hopefully helping them leave feeling a little better than when they came in. For me, those things are pretty naturally connected.
