Exploring Life & Business with Rowaiye Olanrewaju of LarryRowbs Foundation

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rowaiye Olanrewaju.

Hi Rowaiye, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started this journey, after traveling to 5 African countries in search of a better place to start my garment factory. I realized the fashion industry of Africa has been affected due to the influx of used clothes and low quality clothes imported into the continent. This was what geared me to want to solve this issue. So many challenges has delayed the project, but we are not given up . I have been able to be part of different Panels to see how we can solve the issue surrounding the fashion industry world wide. Through my passion for this project, I was able to get this organization registered in the United State and also gather people who have the same passion in making the fashion industry and the world a better place.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The first challenges I faced was the acceptance of the vision I wanted to achieve. Secondly, As an African, It was hard for people in the western world to collaborate or listen to me me, until they noticed how passionate and consistent I was with this project. The green washing going on with big brands. Most big brands are only looking for an avenue to put themselves into the good book of the world while taking advantages without doing nothing. Lastly, Raising of funds has been a big issue, affecting us in pushing things to the next level.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about LarryRowbs Foundation ?
