Hi DANA, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my business 14 years ago. I was a corporate trainer for a large healthcare company in Pittsburgh. Once I had my second child, the cost of daycare surpassed my income. I decided to use my artistic talent to start face-painting for friends and family. 14 years later, I have built (with the help of my awesome team) one of Pittsburgh’s leading children’s entertainment companies.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This road has been bumpy at times.
It’s always a challenge to find dependable, hard-working, trustworthy people to join your team.
Once you have a strong team built, everything else seems to fall seemlessly into place.

I am a 1998 CAPA (Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and Performing Arts) graduate. I took my artistic ability, and my degrees in Education, and combined them to utilize my love for the arts and working with children.
We have hundreds of 5 star reviews on Google, and I truly believe that word of mouth keeps our business so busy.
I am most proud of my team, as they are the ones out every weekend making every child happy!
I am also proud of winning the Mon-Valley “Business Woman of the Year” award several years ago.
I pride myself in our volunteer work, and ensuring my team knows that giving back to the community is just as important (if not more important) than our regular work.
What makes you happy?
Seeing a child’s face looking in the mirror after being face-painted always bring such joy to my heart. The huge smile, seeing them transformed into something brand new for that day.
