Daily Inspiration: Meet Cassandra Weber

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassandra Weber.

Hi Cassandra, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I got my first camera when I was about 15 years old. I went on a cross country road trip at 18 and started taking photos of all landscape for fun and myself mostly. I started photographing friends and getting little jobs here and there and then realized how much I loved documenting humans and preserving those emotions. I noticed taking photos for who I cared about and looking at them later brought back a feeling that was sentimental to me and I wanted to do that for others. I also have fun doing it for others.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
All things have challenges for sure. My biggest challenge always is wanting to get to a certain place and not being there yet. In the beginning I had no idea how to run a business and I would see other creatives in the industry that were much further along than me at the time and that was what I was always working towards. Becoming better and finding my own voice and brand in the industry.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Im a wedding photographer and my approach is cinematic, fashion forward storytelling. I chase emotions and I strive to create images that make you feel something and showcase genuine connection. That’s why I enjoy doing wedding photography you can set the scene, direct and let the day unfold naturally. There are endless opportunities to capture feelings if you are looking for them throughout the entire day. I am most honor to be a part of my clients day and that they trust me the way that they do.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My family makes me happy. I love being around people I love. Spending time with my family brings me the biggest joy in life and is the most meaningful moments to me.
