Hi Josh, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Starting first in the live music industry as a drummer involved creating both music and experiences to entertain a crowd. Getting into DJing in 2009 at Penn State, with the rise of club and EDM music, was an incredible time to rise with the music and energy of the dance and night scenes. After several years and hundreds of club and college events, DJ Mast Productions moved exclusively into special events where clients wanted their vision to be understood and to put trust in our ability to create the type of event and dance party they envisioned. Professionally performing with care, effort and attention to quality helped DJ Mast Productions to become known as the areas most detailed, reliable in professional DJ and entertainment service.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Over the past 16 years in the industry, we have grown consistently and slowly, keeping sustainability and a client-focus at the top of our priorities. Rather than expanding quickly, we have incorporated exclusive DJs that know our methods of quality and can customize it to each specific client. Anyone in the industry would say that a global pandemic is an experience that was never expected and caused a lot of uncertainty at the time. However, through the pandemic, we created processes and a unique effort for each client that has benefited us through higher levels of care, as well as a more organized approach to dealing with each client’s needs.

DJ Mast Productions specializes in professional entertainment that creates relationship, quality social atmospheres and high-end dance party experiences. We deliver professionalism and organization, while bringing passion, energy and genuine respect for our clients and guests in each performance. Our difference is our genuine honesty and effort for each client. When a client gives us their vision, we provide an incredibly accurate response to logistically make it happen, while artistically giving incredible transitions and a leading vocal presence where professionally helpful.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Like most growing regions, a strength is in the exciting culture and influx of the city’s inhabitants. A disadvantage of such population and regional growth can be finding authentic connection with others. At DJ Mast Productions, a majority of our energy is derived from watching relationships develop on the dance floor and through the sociable atmospheres we create. We love seeing our clients and their guests having the best time of their lives.
