Conversations with Alicia Stidfole

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alicia Stidfole.

Hi Alicia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
People often ask how I went from anesthesia to aesthetics, but my story actually started even earlier. I spent seven years as a cosmetologist before becoming a registered nurse in 2006 and then a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in 2012. Throughout my career, I’ve always been passionate about helping people feel confident—whether that meant caring for them during surgery or helping them look and feel their best.
In 2020, I founded Youveau Aesthetics & Wellness Center with a vision of creating something different. I wanted a place where clients felt genuinely cared for, educated, and never pressured. My goal was to combine medical expertise with a luxurious, welcoming experience where every treatment is personalized because no two people are the same.
Building a business hasn’t always been easy. Like many small business owners, I’ve faced challenges, made difficult decisions, and learned countless lessons along the way. But every obstacle has reinforced why I started Youveau in the first place—to create a practice centered on integrity, education, exceptional results, and authentic relationships.
Today, Youveau has grown into an incredible team of talented providers who share that same vision. We offer advanced aesthetic and wellness treatments while focusing on helping our clients age confidently and naturally. One of the things I’m most proud of is that our clients don’t just come to us for treatments—they become part of our Youveau family.
Looking back, every step of my journey—from cosmetology to nursing, anesthesia, and entrepreneurship—prepared me for this. It’s allowed me to blend science, artistry, and compassion into a career I truly love. My mission has always been simple: to help people recognize that they are unique, they are beautiful, and they are worthy. That’s the heart of Youveau, and it’s what continues to inspire me every day.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not—it hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that’s true for most entrepreneurs.
Starting Youveau meant taking a leap of faith. I was balancing a career as a CRNA while building a business from the ground up. In the beginning, I wore every hat imaginable—provider, receptionist, marketer, social media manager, accountant, janitor, and everything in between. There were long days, late nights, and plenty of moments where I questioned whether I could keep doing it all.
Like many small businesses, we’ve faced economic uncertainty, changing regulations, staffing challenges, and the constant need to adapt in an industry that’s always evolving. There have been setbacks and difficult decisions, but I’ve learned that every challenge is an opportunity to improve our systems, strengthen our team, and become better leaders.
On a personal level, balancing business ownership with raising three children and maintaining another career has been one of my greatest challenges. Learning that I can’t do everything myself—and that building a strong, trustworthy team is one of the best investments I can make—has been an invaluable lesson.
Looking back, I wouldn’t change the journey. The difficult seasons have shaped who I am as a business owner and have made Youveau what it is today. They have taught me resilience, humility, and gratitude. Every challenge has reinforced our commitment to providing exceptional care and creating a place where our clients feel genuinely valued.
Success didn’t happen overnight. It has been built one relationship, one client, and one day at a time, and I think that’s what makes it so meaningful.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At Youveau Aesthetics & Wellness Center, we specialize in helping people look and feel like the best version of themselves. We offer a wide range of medical aesthetic and wellness services, from injectables and skin rejuvenation to wellness therapies, but our focus has never been about changing someone’s appearance. It’s about enhancing natural beauty, restoring confidence, and helping our clients age gracefully while still looking like themselves.
One thing that makes us unique is my background. Before becoming a CRNA, I spent seven years as a cosmetologist, so I’ve always had an appreciation for both the science and artistry behind beauty. As a CRNA, I bring an advanced understanding of anatomy, precision, and patient safety to every treatment. Combining those experiences allows me to create personalized treatment plans that are both medically sound and aesthetically balanced.
We’re also known for education. We believe clients deserve to understand why we’re recommending a treatment, what to expect, and how to achieve long-term results—not just a quick fix. We take the time to listen, educate, and create customized plans because everyone’s goals and features are different.
What I’m most proud of is the culture we’ve built. We have an incredible team that genuinely cares about every person who walks through our doors. We strive to create an experience where clients feel welcomed, heard, and cared for from the moment they arrive. Many of our clients become like family, and that’s something you can’t manufacture—it comes from consistently putting people first.
What truly sets Youveau apart is that we’re not trying to make everyone look the same. We celebrate individuality. In fact, our name reflects that philosophy. At Youveau, our message is simple: You are unique. You are beautiful. You are worthy. Every treatment we provide is designed to enhance what already makes each person uniquely beautiful.
At the end of the day, our greatest success isn’t measured by the number of treatments we perform—it’s seeing someone leave our office standing a little taller, smiling a little bigger, and feeling more confident than when they walked in. That’s why we do what we do.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that success is built on relationships, not transactions.
When I first started my business, I thought success meant working harder, doing more, and trying to do everything myself. Over time, I realized that lasting success comes from serving people well, building trust, and surrounding yourself with an incredible team. Clients remember how you made them feel long after they forget the treatment they received.
I’ve also learned that growth requires embracing discomfort. Every challenge—whether it’s navigating uncertainty, making difficult decisions, or learning from mistakes—has helped me become a better leader, clinician, and person. I’ve come to see setbacks not as failures, but as opportunities to learn and improve.
Another lesson that’s become incredibly important to me is that authenticity matters. In an industry that’s often focused on perfection, we strive to celebrate individuality. Our goal has never been to change people into someone else, but to help them feel confident in who they already are.
Finally, I’ve learned that balance isn’t something you achieve once—it’s something you continually work toward. As a business owner, healthcare provider, and mother of three, there are always competing priorities. Giving myself grace, staying focused on my purpose, and remembering why I started has helped me navigate both the challenges and the victories.
If I could sum up my journey in one sentence, it would be this: Lead with integrity, never stop learning, and always put people first. Everything else tends to follow.
