Community Highlights: Meet Tammy Stocker RN of Jackhammer Fit

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tammy Stocker RN.

Hi Tammy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Jackhammer Fit started when the pandemic hit and I needed to close my first studio. Clients wanted to move, have personal training, workouts, cycle, and I needed to create another business plan that fit the “new” way of life at that time. I created JackHammer Fit, JHF, and things evolved to what it is today.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been smooth, but I would say, every bump in the road allowed me to see a new way. A higher power brought me amazing instructors and people to network with to continue JHF with. When one door shut, another door opened. Struggles I did face after the new business took off was finding space of my own. But the pandemic hurt other small businesses. So we shared space. It was good for all. Rent was skyrocketing. People were afraid to spend money, and not sure what was going to happen. Small businesses just needed to push ahead for each other and help people heal.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a mom, wife, Registered Nurse and accidental entrepreneur. I became a business owner of a fitness studio in 2015 when a studio I worked for needed a new owner. I loved it, loved what I did and with my background of health and wellness and already teaching fitness somewhere else, I jumped on the adventure. After the pandemic, I rebranded, took the studio to a smaller scale, more family oriented, focused on family, fitness, and form. Meet people where they are in their journey and get them excited about meeting goals. I am most proud of the community we have built together. The workouts are amazing, yes, but the hangouts after class, coffee, celebrating milestones, birthdays, talking about issues we may have- that’s the stuff you don’t have everywhere.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
With a wife, mom of 3 beautiful boys, my experience as a Registered Nurse that traveled all over this country, I have passion and heart, vs hustle.

That is what keeps the retention of my clients.

The JHF team has that as well and develops relationships with our members.
