Today we’d like to introduce you to Mike DesMarets.
Hi Mike, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up, my family never had much money, so from a young age I knew I wanted to build a different life for myself.
One day I was watching YouTube when an ad came on talking about content creation and the idea of “making money while you sleep.” I remember thinking, “I want to make money while I sleep.” That moment pushed me to start learning everything I could about social media, content creation, and what makes people stop scrolling.
During the pandemic, I put that knowledge to work and created my first brand, EvolveINK. Over time, I grew it to more than 300,000 subscribers and generated over 200 million video views on Instagram.
Then in 2025, I decided to combine my knowledge of social media with something else I’ve always loved—food—and created TwoChomp.
A little over a year later, TwoChomp has grown to around 350,000 followers across Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram and generates roughly 25 million views across those platforms per month
What started with me simply wanting a better financial future turned into a career built around creating content, building communities, and learning how to turn attention into a business.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Overall it was smooth road. However I’d say the biggest challenge for me is finding places to do videos on because we are very picky. There has to be a good story behind the business as well as the food being good.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
TwoChomp is a food media brand focused on discovering great restaurants, telling the stories behind them, and introducing our audience to places they may have never heard of before.
We specialize in short-form food content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. What separates TwoChomp from a traditional food review page is that our goal isn’t to tear restaurants apart or tell people where not to eat. Food is subjective, so I focus on places I genuinely enjoy and create entertaining videos that make people want to go experience them for themselves.
A huge part of what we do is storytelling. Instead of simply showing a cheesesteak, pizza, or burger and saying whether it’s good, I want people to know who made it, how the business started, what makes the food different, and why that place deserves attention.
In a little over a year, TwoChomp has grown to around 350,000 followers across platforms and generates roughly 25 million views. But what I’m most proud of isn’t necessarily the follower count. It’s seeing the real-world impact the content can have. We’ve had restaurant owners tell us they sold out after our videos, had some of their busiest days since opening, or saw customers coming in specifically because they discovered them through TwoChomp.
Ultimately, I want TwoChomp to become much bigger than a food review page. I want it to be a brand people trust for discovering great food, supporting local restaurants, and experiencing the food culture of Philadelphia. One of my biggest long-term goals is to create the biggest food festival in Philadelphia under the TwoChomp brand, bringing together the restaurants, chefs, food trucks, and people that make this city’s food scene what it is.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
Everything about our city is amazing, food, culture and the people. What i dislike? The potholes 🤣
