Today we’d like to introduce you to Matthew Gantkowski.
Hi Matthew, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my career in business management and relationship-building — skills that, looking back, laid the perfect foundation for what I do today.
Like many people, COVID changed everything for me. During that time, I went through the process of buying a home myself, and experienced firsthand the highs and lows that come with it. That journey sparked something. I realized how much people needed a trusted, knowledgeable advocate in their corner — someone who genuinely had their best interests at heart. I wanted to be that person for others in my community.
So I made the leap into real estate.
I’ve since learned from some of the best in the business and built a practice around truly serving my clients — whether they’re buying or selling their first home, making a move up, relocating to the area, or tackling large-scale projects like apartment complexes. No transaction is too big or too small. What matters most to me is that every client feels supported and confident every step of the way.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like anyone pursuing something meaningful, the path hasn’t always been easy. Real estate demands long days and late nights — and the work doesn’t stop just because the clock does. There are always surprises along the way, whether it’s an unexpected inspection issue, a financing hurdle, or a shifting market, and my job is to show up prepared and keep my clients calm and confident through all of it.
But every challenge has made me a better agent. I’ve yet to face an obstacle I couldn’t work through, and that resilience is something my clients can count on. When things get complicated — and in real estate, they sometimes do — I don’t back down. I find a solution.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At its core, my business is built around one mission: making real estate transitions seamless, strategic, and stress-free for Berks County families.
As a lifelong resident and RE/MAX of Reading agent, I bring an insider’s knowledge of this community that simply can’t be replicated. I know the neighborhoods from Wyomissing to Kutztown — where property values are climbing, which communities fit different lifestyles, and how to position a home for maximum return.
What I specialize in:
Most agents help you buy or sell. I orchestrate the entire move — helping families go from starter homes to dream homes without the panic of double mortgages, temporary housing, or leaving equity on the table. My specialties include first-time homebuyers, move-up transitions, relocations, larger acreage properties and farms, and larger scale investment projects. No transaction is too big or too small.
What sets me apart:
My background in team management and customer relations shaped how I approach every client relationship. I don’t just list properties — I build customized marketing strategies designed to tell your home’s story and attract serious buyers willing to pay premium prices. And I give honest, unfiltered, data-driven guidance every step of the way. No pressure, no games.
The track record speaks for itself:
43+ successful transactions across southeastern Pennsylvania
$8 million in career sales volume
Consistent 5-star client satisfaction across all platforms
Top producing agent in rural Berks County markets including Kutztown, Barto, and Elverson
4+ years serving the community
What I’m most proud of isn’t a number — it’s the trust my clients place in me during one of the biggest decisions of their lives. My goal has always been to be a resource not just for this transaction, but for every real estate need as my clients’ lives evolve right here in Berks County.
What makes you happy?
My family! Secondly the smiles and happiest my clients share after there dreams come true. Nothing like celebrating at a closing table, the cake parties with family members in there kitchen for the first time and the story’s they share when I see them in public.
