Community Highlights: Meet Maria Conigliaro of Inspired Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Conigliaro.

Hi Maria, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve spent over two decades helping people and brands figure out who they are. What I didn’t realize until much later was that I was really searching for the same thing myself.

I started Inspired Studio a few years out of college—a boutique brand strategy and design agency rooted in the belief that a strong brand isn’t just a logo, it’s the clearest expression of who you are. For fifteen years, we’ve been helping businesses find that clarity and create unique, timeless visual representations of it. About seven years into my business, working closely with successful business owners in a wide variety of industries, I started to notice a pattern—in my clients, and in myself.

The leaders who came to us for brand work weren’t struggling with more than just their brand visuals—some of them were struggling with their identity. They had outgrown the version of themselves that built their success, and they didn’t have language for what was happening. They just knew something wasn’t fitting anymore. I knew that feeling intimately.

My NeuroCoaching™ practice grew out of that recognition. What started as a natural extension of the brand strategy work became its own body of work—built around a concept I call the Golden Thread™. The idea is simple but profound: there is a single coherent thread running through everything you are, everything you’ve built, every experience that shaped you. It drives you endlessly—you wear it as a badge of honor—but subconsciously it’s all holding you back from reaching your next level of potential or alignment. When my clients are able to see it, they experience an internal shift. Then we work together to keep what’s serving them and rewire (subconsciously) what’s not—bringing them clarity, confidence, and realignment with purpose backed by science.

Today I work with high-achievers who are quietly exhausted by the identity that got them here—and ready to find out who they actually are underneath it. Turns out, it’s what I’ve always been doing.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Owning a business while raising kids means, large or small, something is always shifting, breaking, demanding a pivot. “Smooth” is not the norm, and I’ve made peace with that. More than peace, actually—I’ve come to genuinely love it. I love being challenged with ways to creatively problem-solve. Sometimes the outcome is greater than I ever expected!

Something I know from both neuroscience and lived experience: the brain is wired for certainty, for pattern, for the familiar—even when the familiar isn’t working. Resistance to change is biology. But it’s also not an excuse. Over years of running a business, raising my daughters, and rebuilding myself more than once, I’ve trained myself to get curious about change instead of bracing against it. Change is where I do my best thinking. It’s where the most interesting version of a problem lives, and where the most creative solutions come from.

That curiosity, creativity and courage to face change are some of the core things I cultivate in the leaders I work with. Resilience isn’t about toughening up. It’s about learning to trust yourself inside the uncertainty. Knowing you’ve figured it out before, and you’ll figure it out again.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Inspired Studio is my boutique brand strategy and design agency—but over the past several years, it has evolved into something much larger than design work. Today, my primary focus is identity-level transformation coaching for high-achievers, operating under the Inspired Studio umbrella.

I’m the creator of the Golden Thread™ methodology and author of “The Belief That Built You: Find Your Golden Thread™—Beautifully Gripping Sameness, While Your Soul Calls for Unraveling”. My coaching work—including my group program, The Shift—is built around one core premise: the identity that got you here is not the identity that will get you where you’re actually going. My clients are accomplished professionals who have done everything right and still feel like something essential is missing (in their career, life, or both). We find that thing together.

What sets me apart is the combination of 25 years as a brand strategist and six years as a precision-based transformation coach. I understand both how you present yourself to the world and who you actually are underneath that presentation—and I know exactly where those two things stop matching up.

That gap is where my work lives.

What makes you happy?
Watching someone have an aha moment is everything to me! That split second where something shifts and they realize they’ve had the answer all along and they just needed someone to hold up the mirror. I never tire of it.

Nature never ceases to amaze me. A single leaf sprout can stop me in my tracks. The intricacy, the intelligence, the way it just keeps unfolding in perfect order—I find its beauty endlessly inspiring… so much that my girls have to drag me out of the plant section at the hardware store! Haha

And my daughters. Watching them grow into the fullest expression of who they are is the best thing in my life. It’s also not lost on me that it’s exactly what I want for every client I work with.

Outside of all that—traveling somewhere new, baking something from scratch, and a hike or a great workout make me feel alive!
