Hi Lexi, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started Sip and Shine when I was 4 months post partum with our daughter. It was hard to imagine going to work and not spending my time with my our baby. So I called my mom and asked for her advice. She drove 16 hours and brought me everything I needed to start Sip and Shine. With the help of my husband I made Sip and Shine my full time job in just 3 months!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was a big learning curve with how to manage newborn life with starting a buisness. I was very lucky to have the full support from my husband and family. I wouldnt have had the confidence to keep going if I didnt have them helping ne every step of the way.
As you know, we’re big fans of Sip and Shine . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Sip and Shine is a healthy drink buisness. We specialize in loaded teas, hydration drinks, protein iced coffees, and at home loaded tea kits. My goal is to help people with their health journey. Wheather that looks like having more energy, loosing weight, gaining weight or just having zero sugar drink options.
We are most known for our loaded teas they are 25 calories, 5 carbs, and 0 sugar! We offer a wide variety of flavors and love creating fun, seasonal menus that give our customers something new to try each month.
What I’m most proud of with Sip and Shine is helping people find drinks that fit their lifestyle. Having the opportunity to connect with people and help them is so rewarding.
One of my biggest goals this year is to be at more events! I would love to work with more schools, hospitals, sports teams, businesses, and community organizations. I want to continue to grow with catering and building relationships in our community!
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something people might not know about me is I absolutely love reading and reviewing books. My dream would be to write my own fantasy book.
