Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Schrecengost.
Hi Ashley, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Ashley, and my career path has been anything but traditional. I became a registered nurse in 2020, right in the middle of COVID, so I was introduced very quickly to the realities of healthcare and how unpredictable it can be. As challenging as that experience was, it was also where I discovered my love for critical care. I found my place working in the ICU and ER, and over the past six years, I’ve continued that work as a travel nurse throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio.
Before becoming a nurse, I spent about 15 years working as a veterinary technician. Ironically, it was a cat bite that ultimately changed the direction of my career. I became septic and experienced healthcare from the patient’s perspective, and somewhere in that experience, I realized I wanted to transition from veterinary medicine into human nursing.
Then I turned 30, had what I jokingly call my “midlife crisis,” started dabbling in Botox, and completely fell in love with aesthetic medicine.
That interest continued to grow until I decided to take the leap and open my own aesthetics practice, Flawless Beauty Injectables, in 2026. Today, I offer wrinkle-relaxing treatments, dermal fillers, PRP and PRF treatments, microneedling, and chemical peels.
What I love most about aesthetics is that it brings together so many different parts of my background. I have education and experience in cosmetology, nursing, and healthcare, and aesthetics allows me to combine all of those skills in one place. I still love the intensity and purpose of critical care nursing, but aesthetics gives me something completely different: the opportunity to help people feel more confident and beautiful in their own skin.
There’s something incredibly rewarding about watching someone look in the mirror after a treatment and seeing that little boost of confidence. For me, Flawless Beauty isn’t about changing what someone looks like. It’s about enhancing what’s already there and helping people feel like the best version of themselves.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not …. Haha, it has been anything but a smooth road. There has been a lot of tears that have washed away a path for me. haha. I’m a mom of four children and me and my fiancé raise and I just had my baby 18 months ago. I decided it was a great idea to open up a med spa in the middle of postpartum depression. However, it is starting to grow now and I’m starting to feel very hopeful. I’m not working and I have a network a strong woman and men like me that are supporting me. I am still paving that path. I also have my own photography business so working full-time as a travel nurse part-time as a photographer and now part-time as an aesthetics nurse/owner. It gets a little chaotic. My end goal is to just do photography and the aesthetics spa.
However, this crazy path has led me closer to God in this community that I am thriving in now.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love my city. It has been such a great support there are so many business owners and people that are so supportive and caring, and it truly gives you hope that the world hasn’t gone bad
