Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Vavra.
Hi Amanda, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Amanda’s journey into the world of wellness began in the kitchen. A Culinary Arts graduate raised on the Standard American Diet, her culinary education broadened her palate but also highlighted a much deeper need: healing her relationship with food and with herself. For a large part of her life, Amanda navigated profound personal challenges, battling anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and physical health issues.
A devastating miscarriage in her late twenties served as a powerful wake-up call. Driven by a desire to heal, and deeply inspired by her children, who became the ultimate catalysts for her personal growth, Amanda radically transformed her physical, mental, and emotional health. Last year, she turned her lifelong passion into her profession by earning her credential as a Certified Transformational Nutrition Coach (CTNC) through the Institute of Transformational Nutrition (ITN), and founding Blossom & Balance Wellness.
Today, Amanda is dedicated to helping others up-level their health and their lives. She feels especially called to support women and mothers, believing they are a vital creative force in the world. By guiding women to rediscover their power, Amanda hopes to spark a ripple effect of healing that extends outward to all of Mother Earth.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and the bumps along the way are exactly what gave me my purpose. My personal healing journey was deeply messy and non-linear. Unlearning the habits of the Standard American Diet and repairing my relationship with food took a lot of patience. On top of that, I spent years battling anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and physical health issues like high blood pressure. Surviving those dark moments and the heartbreaking wake-up call of a miscarriage in my late twenties required a radical transformation of how I treated my mind and body.
Stepping into my calling as an entrepreneur and coach brought a whole new set of challenges. Imposter syndrome is very real. When you have a history of struggling deeply with your own well-being, it can be intimidating to stand up and offer to guide others. I had to do a lot of inner work to realize I don’t need to be perfect to be an effective coach.
Balancing the demands of motherhood while building Blossom and Balance Wellness and completing my certification through ITN has been a massive juggling act. Raising my daughters, Ellowyn and Willow, is my greatest joy, and it also requires so much energy and focus.
Ultimately, I want to be clear that I am still very much a work in progress. Yes, I have overcome a lot, and the work of growing ourselves is never truly done. I am still evolving right alongside my clients. Every obstacle I have faced has become a crucial piece of my curriculum. It taught me the exact resilience and grace I now use to help other women reclaim their own power.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At Blossom and Balance Wellness, I specialize in holistic health and wellness coaching designed specifically for women and mothers. My work is rooted in Transformational Nutrition. This means we do not just look at what you are eating. We look at the psychology, the environment, and the spirituality of your health as well. I help women heal their relationship with food, reconnect with their bodies, and rediscover their inner power.
What sets me apart is the unique combination of my culinary arts background and my own lived experience. Because I have been in the trenches with unlearning the Standard American Diet, battling mental health struggles, and navigating the demands of motherhood, I bring profound empathy to my coaching. I do not play the role of the perfect wellness guru. I hold a safe, entirely non-judgmental space where my clients can show up exactly as they are.
Brand-wise, I am most proud of the ripple effect that is built into my mission. When a woman or a mother heals, she changes the dynamic of her entire household. That healing ripples out to her children, her community, and ultimately to Mother Earth. It is incredibly powerful work to witness.
I want readers to know that wellness does not have to be restrictive or punishing. Through Blossom and Balance Wellness, I offer one-on-one coaching, like my 12-week transformation package, along with community events and workshops. My ultimate goal is to help you build a life that feels deeply nourishing on every single level.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
If there is one thing I want every woman reading this to know, it is that you are worthy of feeling good right now, exactly as you are. You do not have to wait until you have it all figured out, or until the kids are older, or until your life looks perfect on paper to start prioritizing your well-being.
Healing and growth are messy, and they are so deeply worth it. Please give yourself the grace to take it one small step at a time. If my story resonates with you, I would absolutely love to connect. We are all walking this path together, and I am always cheering you on.
