Check Out Treisha M’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Treisha M.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My love for makeup began when I was 12 years old. My mother was a Mary Kay consultant, and I loved watching her work with makeup and help women feel beautiful and confident. That experience sparked my passion for the beauty industry and inspired the career I have built over the past 35 years.

Throughout my career, I have worked with respected beauty brands such as MAC Cosmetics, Smashbox, and Sephora. I have also had the privilege of creating beautiful looks for countless brides, special occasions, photoshoots, and memorable events.

After serving clients in the Tampa, Florida area for many years, I relocated my business, Glamarcoux Artistry, to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am now excited to bring my creativity, personalized service, and 35 years of professional makeup artistry experience to clients throughout the Pittsburgh area.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not always been a smooth road. Like many artists and small-business owners, I have faced challenges such as building a loyal clientele, keeping up with an ever-changing beauty industry, and balancing my career with being a mother and caring for my family.

One of my biggest recent challenges was relocating from Tampa, Florida, to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and having to rebuild my business and professional network in a completely new area. Starting over after establishing myself for so many years has required patience, determination, and faith. However, every challenge has made me stronger and reminded me why I fell in love with makeup in the first place. I remain passionate about helping people feel beautiful, confident, and celebrated during life’s most meaningful moments.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Through Glamarcoux Artistry, I provide professional makeup services for brides, bridal parties, special occasions, photoshoots, and other memorable events. I also specialize in creative and special-effects makeup. I am known for creating beautiful, personalized looks that enhance each client’s natural features while still allowing them to feel comfortable and look like themselves.

What sets me apart is my 35 years of professional experience, including working with MAC Cosmetics, Smashbox, and Sephora. I understand that makeup is not one-size-fits-all, so I take the time to listen to each client, understand their vision, and create a look that complements their features, personality, and occasion.

I am most proud of the countless brides and clients who have trusted me to be part of some of the most meaningful moments in their lives. I’m also proud that, after relocating from Tampa to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I continue to follow my passion and build my business in a new community. My experience, creativity, attention to detail, and genuine care for my clients are at the heart of everything I do.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
So many people deserve credit for supporting and inspiring me throughout my journey. My mother was my very first influence. She was a Mary Kay consultant, and watching her work with makeup when I was 12 years old is what first sparked my love for the beauty industry.

During my 35-year career, I have had the opportunity to work with and meet many talented makeup artists and business owners. Each of them taught me something valuable about artistry, professionalism, creativity, and running a business. Several of those relationships have grown into lasting friendships that I still cherish today.

I am also incredibly grateful for my family, friends, loyal clients, and everyone who has encouraged me, referred my services, trusted my talent, and supported me through every new chapter—including relocating and rebuilding Glamarcoux Artistry in Pittsburgh. Their belief in me has played an important role in helping me continue doing what I love.
