Today we’d like to introduce you to Blavk Robe.
Hi Blavk , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Blavk Robe was born from the crevices of an intentional soul.
I exist alongside reality while bending it into a fantastical shroud, inviting other souls to look through it and perhaps understand something differently.
I wasn’t exactly created. I was encountered.
Somewhere between lessons learned, stories lived, questions unanswered, and worlds imagined, there was an essence waiting for form. Eventually, it found one. It wrote. It imagined. It questioned. Then one day, it put on a robe, covered its face, and introduced itself.
What began on the page has since grown into Blavk Robe Presentz, a creative world spanning literature, visual storytelling, immersive experiences, and original concepts. The medium may change, but the intention remains: to create something that does not end with what I imagined, but begins again with what you imagine.
So, how did I get here?
I think someone bumped into Blavk Robe. And I kept walking.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth roads? I intentionally took the rough ones. The ones less traveled. I embraced the hardship because I knew the pressure would produce a diamond.
When the Robe is placed between a rock and a hard place, she finds a way to convince the rock to team up with her against the hard place.
Then I place the rock in a position to tell its story as if I were merely the stenographer.
Perhaps the greatest struggle has been existing without being defined, boxed in, or controlled. There is an instinct to categorize things so they are easier to understand. Writer. Author. Artist. Brand. But definition can become confinement when you intend to move freely between forms.
The Robe must remain free.
Free to question. Free to imagine. Free to wander into uncomfortable places. Free to say and do what it takes to get the lesson across.
I don’t need the road to become smoother.
I need enough freedom to choose which road I take.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
What do I do? What do I specialize in?
Soul searching.
I search for stories to tell various souls. I am an artist and writer who brings stories to life through immersive storytelling. I specialize in creating and curating the details that allow the reader or viewer to see the story, but also mesh themselves and the people around them into it. Picture it. Feel it. Find yourself somewhere inside it.
I’m known for my striking appearance, mysterious interactions, and perhaps an unusual line of thought. My short-story anthologies move through realism, futurism, science fiction, psychological thrillers, and, of course, lessons learned.
BLAVK ROBE PRESENTZ: SHORTS for the Imaginative Soul was written and curated for exactly what the title insinuates. Each story is meant to grasp your attention and pull your emotions in different directions. But the story I wrote and the story you experience do not have to be exactly the same. I leave room for the imaginative soul to enter.
I’m most proud of the implications of being Blavk Robe. I can enter the world of readers, writers, artists, and creatives and interact with them while remaining anonymous, because ultimately, the work is what’s speaking.
Adaptability sets me apart. I’m not looking for a lane. I’m creating another one. And while creating something new, I still pay homage to those who came before me, leaving small pieces of nostalgia tucked inside stories, characters, imagery, and experiences.
I don’t shy away from my cultural depth, either. It is present because it belongs there. And I understand that what Blavk Robe becomes may eventually reach beyond me.
I think about the writers, readers, artists, and creatives who will come afterward.
Perhaps one day, they’ll bump into the Robe too.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I could define success, but that’s not really what you want. You want me to measure success for you from the view of the Robe.
It’s funny, because this is success. Being featured in a digital magazine. Giving interviews. Signing books. Of course those are indicators of success.
But success, to me, is seeing the face of someone becoming a fan in real time. Hearing, “This was phenomenal. When can we get more?” Seeing that excitement in their eyes because they feel like they’ve discovered and participated in something everyone else hasn’t found yet.
That’s success to the Robe.
Seeing readers and viewers curious about which soul I’ll dabble in next. Walking through the world concealed, only to have someone approach me full of curiosity and questions. Watching something that once existed only in imagination become an experience another person now carries with them.
But perhaps the most significant way I can define success is much simpler:
Having the gift to write, and finally getting that writing in front of the souls who need it.
