Community Highlights: Meet Keith Lapp of Lapp Painting, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keith Lapp.

Hi Keith, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was working part time for a couple of guys, when I got one side job I did on my own. Realized the money is better when the customer is paying you directly. I talked it over with my wife and decided to start my own business up. Currently have 3 full time employed as well as numerous other contractors Inhave connected with and use as subs.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There were times early when it was difficult as a new business to get leads.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are a painting company, who specialize mostly with residential interior/exterior painting. We also pressure wash, refinish cabinets, and install drywall.

I would say 90% of our business is from word of mouth, I feel like that is the best advertising a company could have.

My favorite part of the job is interacting with the customer to provide the best possible service for them.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
As stated before, I feel like word of mouth is the best advertising.
