Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Precopia.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve been in digital marketing for over 12 years, working across paid media, analytics, mobile app marketing, lead generation, and growth strategy. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to manage multi-million-dollar advertising budgets, build campaigns across platforms like Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Apple Search Ads, and Indeed, and help businesses turn marketing data into real growth.
I originally started ExcellaMark in 2012, but for many years I built my career working in-house and gaining hands-on experience with different industries, teams, platforms, and business challenges. After my corporate marketing role came to an end, I decided it was time to fully step into something I had been building toward for years and make ExcellaMark my focus.
Today, ExcellaMark helps businesses simplify digital marketing and make smarter decisions with their advertising. I work with businesses on paid ads, tracking and analytics, lead generation, conversion strategy, and overall digital growth. One thing I’ve learned throughout my career is that marketing is never one-size-fits-all. Every business has different goals, customers, and challenges, and I really enjoy figuring out the right strategy for each one.
Building a business has definitely pushed me outside of my comfort zone, especially going from being the person behind the marketing to also having to market and sell my own services. But it has also given me the opportunity to take everything I’ve learned throughout my career and use it to help other business owners grow.
I’m excited about where ExcellaMark is headed and about continuing to build something here in the Pittsburgh area that combines strategy, data, creativity, and genuine partnership with the businesses I work with.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been transitioning from working in established corporate marketing roles to building and growing my own business. In my previous roles, I was responsible for large budgets, established brands, and existing teams. With ExcellaMark, I’ve had to build everything from the ground up—from finding clients and developing services to handling sales, marketing, operations, and strategy.
Another challenge has been learning that being great at marketing for other businesses is very different from marketing yourself. As a business owner, you have to constantly put yourself out there, build relationships, follow up, and stay consistent even when results don’t happen immediately.
There have definitely been moments of uncertainty, but those challenges have also helped me grow. They’ve pushed me to become more resourceful, more confident, and even more focused on the kind of business I want to build. I’ve learned to be patient with the process and to keep adapting, which is something I’ve always believed is essential in marketing anyway.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
ExcellaMark LLC is a Pittsburgh-based digital marketing and growth consulting company that helps businesses make smarter, more strategic decisions with their marketing.
I specialize in paid advertising, digital strategy, analytics, tracking, lead generation, conversion optimization, and growth systems across platforms including Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Apple Search Ads, and Indeed. My background includes more than 12 years in digital marketing, managing multimillion-dollar advertising budgets and building campaigns designed around measurable business outcomes.
What sets ExcellaMark apart is the level of strategy and personal attention behind the work. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all marketing. Every business has different goals, audiences, budgets, and challenges, so I build strategies around what actually makes sense for that business rather than simply recommending the same channels or tactics to everyone.
I’m especially proud that ExcellaMark combines both the creative and analytical sides of marketing. It’s not just about running ads—it’s about understanding the full customer journey, making sure tracking is accurate, identifying where opportunities are being missed, and helping businesses turn their marketing investment into real growth.
My goal is for clients to feel like they have a true marketing partner, not just another agency managing their account. I want business owners to understand what is happening with their marketing, why we are making certain decisions, and how those decisions connect back to their goals.
What’s next?
My future plans are centered around continuing to grow ExcellaMark into a trusted digital marketing partner for businesses in Pittsburgh and beyond. I want to keep building long-term client relationships and helping businesses feel more confident about where their marketing dollars are going and what results they are getting from them.
I’m also looking forward to expanding the educational side of the business through workshops, webinars, resources, and consulting. Digital marketing changes constantly, and I enjoy helping business owners better understand things like paid advertising, analytics, AI, tracking, and how all of those pieces work together.
Long term, I would love to continue growing ExcellaMark in a way that stays personal and strategic. I don’t want it to become a high-volume agency where clients feel like just another account. My goal is to build a strong, sustainable business that is known for transparency, measurable results, and genuinely caring about the businesses we work with.
