Today we’d like to introduce you to Lucie Uba.
Hi Lucie , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My Love for photography started when I was young, I grew up surrounded by both of my aunts doing photography then my aunt giving me my first camera. From there my passion began! I was photographing everything and anything I could, from families and couples to racing and automotive I was there. I quickly found I didn’t want to settle into one certain thing because I loved it all, fast forward a few years we had our two beautiful children and the camera took the back seat while I was a stay at home mom until one day my best friend and i went to take some photos that I then posted and all of a sudden I was being flooded with inquires, people LOVED my work. I went from having 2-3 sessions a year to now doing 20+ a month and 10+ weddings scheduled for 2027. I quickly found that I loved capturing peoples special moments, i still do it all but most importantly I love hearing everyone’s stories and getting to provide them these moment to cherish forever, to me my clients aren’t just clients. They are truly friends and family, they continue to return and allow me to keep capturing their special moments and continue allowing me to be a huge part of their lives. The lord has blessed me with not only an amazing business and passion, but lifelong friends who i cherish dearly.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No! I feel that any business is gonna have its struggles, for me I didn’t take any classes so it took a lot of failure and adjustments for me to get where I am. So many late night calls and text to my friends in the photography community looking for help or advice that will never go unnoticed, Our area is flooded with so many talented photographers so i struggled for a long time to get my name out there, it took so many people trusting me with their moments for me to get recognized and out there. I truly couldn’t do it without so many of my amazing clients and word of mouth!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I love doing couple and family photography but truly my heart is everywhere! From weddings to branding, budoir and maternity, it all ignites a spark in my heart. A huge factor that sets me apart is truly my pricing, I have some of the lower pricing for our area. My goal with photography was to provide photos to everyone, in an economy that is tough and hard, people are already struggling to make ends meet. I try to keep pricing low because I feel that everyone deserves to remember these moments wether it’s your wedding day where we are capturing your families first heirloom or a family session where mom is always behind the camera and never in front. Everyone deserves photos that last a lifetime
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My family and kids are a huge source of happiness for me, they push me to succeed and are always standing in my corner. I love getting to explore new places and seeing our kids faces light up with enjoyment, we spend so much time at the beach at my in-laws beach house so that always provides some amazing laughter and joy! If I’m not with our kids or behind the camera you’ll always find me with my husband and animals or on the phone with my best friend!

- One Hour sessions are $250 – not including extended family or events. subject to travel fee
- Half Hour sessions are $125 – not including extended families or events. subject to travel fee
- 8 hours of wedding coverage – $2500 with a second photographer available for add on – subject to travel fee.
