Hi Cres, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into the beauty industry was born out of a season of heartbreak, change, and rebuilding.
After losing my husband in 2021, I found myself having to navigate life in a completely different way. During that season, I began discovering that beauty was more than just outward appearance, it could be a source of confidence, connection, and healing. What started as a skill I was developing eventually became something much bigger than I ever imagined.
I became a licensed esthetician and certified lash technician and founded Cres Everlashing & Esthetics, building a brand centered around my belief in “Beauty with a Soul.” I wanted to create more than a place where people came to get their lashes or receive a beauty service. I wanted to create an experience where people could feel seen, valued, and cared for.
As Cres Everlashing grew, I realized that my personal experience with loss could also become a way to serve others. That led to the creation of VOWS — View of a Widow’s Sorrow, a program within Cres Everlashing created to support women navigating the difficult journey of losing a spouse. Through VOWS, I partnered with Wallace Funeral Home and an attorney who can assist individuals who may need guidance with probate or additional legal support following a loss.
That part of my journey is especially meaningful to me because I understand firsthand how overwhelming life can become after losing someone you love. Sometimes people don’t know where to turn or what questions to ask. I wanted to help create a bridge to resources and support during a time when people are often simply trying to figure out how to get through the next day.
As the business continued to evolve, so did my vision. I became a licensed and certified lash professional and began pursuing my cosmetology license while developing the Cres Everlashing Academy, where I can take what I’ve learned and pour it into aspiring lash artists. My goal is not simply to provide a service, but to create opportunities, teach with integrity, and help other women build something of their own.
Today, I’m continuing to grow Cres Everlashing & Esthetics while balancing cosmetology school, business ownership, education, and my vision for the future. What began during one of the hardest chapters of my life has become a business, a platform for service, and a piece of my legacy.
I truly believe that God can take what broke you, rebuild you, and use your story to help someone else. For me, Cres Everlashing is a reflection of that journey, beauty, healing, purpose, and legacy, all with soul.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has definitely not been a smooth road and honestly, it still isn’t.
One of my biggest challenges has been learning how to continue building my life and my businesses while still navigating the loss of my husband. Grief doesn’t have an expiration date, and there are still days when the weight of that loss is very real. At the same time, life and responsibilities don’t stop. I still have goals to accomplish, a business to build, students to teach, and a future I’m working toward.
Entrepreneurship has also challenged me in ways I didn’t expect. There have been slow seasons, financial sacrifices, unexpected obstacles, and moments when I’ve questioned whether everything I’m working toward will come together. I’m also balancing business ownership with cosmetology school and continuing to grow professionally, which requires a tremendous amount of time, discipline and sacrifice.
There are days when I’m exhausted and days when things don’t go according to plan. But I’ve learned that I don’t have to have everything figured out to keep moving forward.
I am still in the process. I’m still building. I’m still healing. I’m still learning. And I’m still trusting God through all of it.
The road isn’t smooth but I’m grateful for what the journey is producing in me. Every challenge has taught me resilience, patience, faith and the importance of continuing to show up, even when I don’t feel like it.
I don’t consider myself someone who has “made it” and arrived at the finish line. I’m a woman who is still building her legacy in the middle of the struggle, and that’s what makes the journey meaningful.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I would say resilience. I’ve learned how to keep going even when life doesn’t go according to plan. I’m still building, still learning and still navigating challenges, but I refuse to let difficult seasons stop me from pursuing what God has placed in my heart. My ability to keep showing up, even when it’s hard, has been one of the greatest contributors to my success.
