Today we’d like to introduce you to Camilo Perez Cuevas.
Hi Camilo, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
ArtDesignStudio officially began in Pennsylvania in July 2025, but my experience in this industry goes back much further. I am originally from Cuba, where I operated a business in the same field beginning in 2016. That experience gave me a strong foundation in design, production, and working directly with customers.
After coming to the United States, I worked as a supervisor at Tyson Foods while rebuilding my business from home. I started with only a vinyl cutter and a heat press, producing smaller custom projects while continuing to learn and reinvest in better equipment. Over time, I added a Roland BN-20A printer, which allowed me to expand the services I could offer and begin growing ArtDesignStudio more seriously.
In May 2026, I made the difficult decision to leave my position at Tyson Foods and dedicate myself fully to the business. The hardest part was not learning the work—it was having the courage to take that step, trust my experience, and pursue what I truly enjoy. I have always had a passion for design, creating things with my hands, and helping businesses present themselves professionally. I also wanted the independence that comes with building something of my own.
Today, ArtDesignStudio continues to operate from my home and has grown to include professional printing, cutting, lamination, laser engraving, and CNC capabilities. My equipment now includes Roland and Mimaki printers, a laminator, a laser engraving machine, and a CNC router. We provide vehicle graphics, commercial signs, storefront and wall graphics, branded apparel, and custom printing for businesses throughout Lancaster County and surrounding areas.
Although ArtDesignStudio is still establishing its name in Pennsylvania, it is built on nearly a decade of experience that began in Cuba. For me, this journey is about rebuilding something I already believed in, creating new opportunities for my family, and turning my passion into an independent business that can continue growing within the local community.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has definitely not been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges was having to rebuild from the beginning after moving from Cuba to Pennsylvania. Although I already had years of experience in the industry, I arrived in a new market where very few people knew me or the quality of my work. I had to establish trust, build a new customer base, and learn how local businesses make purchasing decisions.
For a period of time, I was also balancing ArtDesignStudio with my full-time position as a supervisor at Tyson Foods. I would work my regular schedule and then use my remaining time to design, produce orders, communicate with customers, and continue developing the business. It required long hours and a great deal of discipline.
Financial growth was another challenge. I did not begin with a fully equipped shop. I started with a vinyl cutter and a heat press, and then reinvested what I earned into additional equipment and capabilities. Every new machine represented an important decision because I needed to make sure the business could support the investment.
The most difficult moment was choosing to leave the security of a steady job and commit myself fully to ArtDesignStudio. Having experience and technical ability did not automatically remove the fear and uncertainty that came with that decision. I had to trust my skills and accept that building a consistent flow of customers would take time.
I still operate from home, which requires me to be organized and creative with space as the business grows. However, every challenge has pushed me to become more resourceful, patient, and determined. I am still building my name in Pennsylvania, but I am proud of the progress we have made and excited about what comes next.

ArtDesignStudio LLC is an owner-operated design, printing, and sign business serving Lancaster County and surrounding areas in Pennsylvania. We help local businesses build a professional and consistent image through commercial vehicle graphics, business signs, storefront and window graphics, wall graphics, custom printing, and branded apparel.
Our specialties include vehicle lettering and partial wraps for vans, trucks, and trailers; indoor and outdoor commercial signs; dimensional lettering; banners; yard signs; decals; custom T-shirts, polos, hoodies, and hats; as well as laser-engraved and CNC-produced items. We work with contractors, restaurants, real estate professionals, transportation companies, and other local organizations.
What sets ArtDesignStudio apart is the personal attention we provide throughout the entire process. Customers work directly with us from the initial idea and design through production and installation. We take the time to understand their business, recommend practical solutions for their needs and budget, and create products that help their brand look professional. We also provide service in both English and Spanish, allowing us to serve a broader part of our local community.
I am especially proud of how much the business has grown from its beginnings with only a vinyl cutter and a heat press. Today, we have expanded our production capabilities with professional Roland and Mimaki printing equipment, lamination, laser engraving, and CNC technology. However, the purpose remains the same: to combine creativity, quality workmanship, and personalized service to help other businesses stand out.
I want readers to know that ArtDesignStudio is more than a place that prints signs or shirts. We become a creative production partner for our customers, helping them carry the same professional brand across their vehicles, storefronts, workspaces, uniforms, and promotional materials.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is creating something that did not exist before and watching an idea become real. I enjoy the entire process—from imagining a design to producing and installing the finished project. Seeing a blank wall, an ordinary vehicle, or a simple logo transform into something that makes a business owner feel proud is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
I am especially happy when customers see the final result and become excited about how their business now looks. Knowing that something I created can help another person present their company professionally, attract attention, and move closer to their own goals gives my work a deeper purpose.
Building something of my own also makes me happy. As a Cuban starting again in Pennsylvania, every new customer, completed project, and step forward represents more than business growth. It represents independence, perseverance, and the opportunity to build a new chapter through work that I genuinely enjoy.
I also find happiness in learning. This industry is always changing, and every new machine, material, technique, or challenging project gives me an opportunity to improve. For me, happiness is not only reaching a final destination; it is being able to create, continue growing, and recognize the progress made along the way.
