Rising Stars: Meet Jen Lucas of Pennsylvania

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jen Lucas.

Hi Jen, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey to creating Sacred Tones Healing began during a very tumultuous time in my life. I knew I needed to find something positive to help balance the negativity and stress I was experiencing. That realization started me on a journey inward.

I began practicing yoga and becoming much more mindful of what I was putting in and on my body. I started making my own cleaning and skincare products, paying closer attention to the ingredients I was using, and learning to become less reactive to everything happening around me. It was a gradual process of learning how to slow down, become more present, and take better care of myself.

At the yoga studio I attended, sound was incorporated into some of the sessions. From the very beginning, I felt deeply called to it. There was something about the experience that resonated with me in a way I couldn’t fully explain. Sometimes the sound sessions brought up emotions that weren’t necessarily comfortable, but I continued to return to them as a participant for many years.

Looking back, I can see that sound had been quietly calling me for a long time. I’ve always felt a strong connection to music, yet I never played a traditional instrument. Now, I understand why. My relationship with sound wasn’t meant to be about performing music—it was meant to be about experiencing and eventually sharing the profound way vibration can create space for relaxation, reflection, and emotional release.

Several years later, my interest in natural wellness continued to grow. I expanded my small at-home skincare line, formulated an all-natural face cream, and started a little business around it. I was proud of what I had created, but deep down, I knew something was missing. I had a persistent feeling that there was a service I was supposed to incorporate into that business—something more experiential and connected to the work I felt called to do.

Then came the moment that changed everything.

One day, I felt guided to go to my Instagram page, which was unusual because I rarely used it at the time. The very first post I saw was from a woman in Amsterdam announcing that she was launching a sound healing course. To this day, I have no idea how I had even come to follow her.

But when I saw that post, it was like a huge light bulb went off.

Everything suddenly made sense.

I was on the phone with her the very next day, and shortly afterward, I enrolled as a student in her very first sound therapy practitioner course. It was one of those moments in life when you feel like something you’ve been searching for has finally found you.

That decision became the beginning of Sacred Tones Healing.

What started as a personal journey to find balance during a difficult chapter of my life evolved into a calling to create that space for others. I began offering sound and vibrational therapy and continued expanding my education and exploring new ways to support relaxation, restoration, and overall well-being.

Over the years, Sacred Tones Healing has evolved into much more than I originally imagined. What began with a love for natural wellness and sound has grown into an immersive wellness experience incorporating sound, vibration, light, and frequency-based technologies.

Building a business around modalities that many people are still unfamiliar with has not always been easy. I’ve had to educate people about what I do while continuing to evolve, invest in myself, and trust my vision—even during times of uncertainty and financial challenges. But every challenge has reinforced why I started in the first place.

Today, Sacred Tones Healing is deeply personal to me because it was born from my own journey. I know what it feels like to be searching for something that helps you reconnect with yourself when life feels overwhelming. My goal has always been to create a space where people can step away from the noise and demands of everyday life and simply give themselves permission to rest, reset, and reconnect.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not—it has been anything but a smooth road. Building Sacred Tones Healing has required me to step outside of my comfort zone in ways I never expected. When I first started, I was not only building a business, but also introducing people to a type of wellness service that many had never heard of or fully understood. There has been a constant need to educate people about what sound and vibrational therapy are and why someone might want to experience them.

One of my biggest challenges has been learning how to be both a practitioner and a business owner. My passion has always been centered around helping people and creating meaningful wellness experiences, but running a business requires an entirely different set of skills—marketing, sales, finances, technology, networking, and constantly finding new ways to reach the right people. I’ve had to learn much of that along the way.

Financial challenges have also been a very real part of the journey. There have been times when I had a clear vision for where I wanted Sacred Tones Healing to go but didn’t necessarily have the financial resources to get there as quickly as I would have liked. I’ve had to be creative, resourceful, and patient while continuing to invest in my education, equipment, and the growth of the business.

There have also been moments of self-doubt. When you are creating something that is different from the traditional model, it can be difficult not to question yourself when things don’t happen as quickly as you envisioned. I’ve had to learn to trust the process, stay committed to my vision, and keep moving forward even when the path wasn’t completely clear.

At the same time, those struggles have shaped me and the business in important ways. They have taught me resilience, flexibility, and the importance of continuing to evolve. Looking back, I can honestly say that some of the most challenging moments pushed me to become more creative and more confident in what I am building.

It hasn’t been a smooth road, but I don’t think I would change it. Every obstacle has taught me something, and each challenge has helped bring Sacred Tones Healing closer to the vision I have for its future.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At Sacred Tones Healing, I specialize in creating immersive wellness experiences that combine sound, vibration, and other complementary modalities to help people relax, reset, and reconnect with themselves.

While sound therapy is at the foundation of my work, I have spent years exploring ways to expand beyond a traditional sound bath or one-dimensional sound healing session. One of the things that sets me apart is that I have created several of my own signature treatments by thoughtfully combining a variety of sound-based and complementary modalities into unique experiences.

I don’t believe that wellness has to be a one-size-fits-all experience. Over time, I began experimenting with different ways that sound, vibration, light, and frequency-based technologies could be incorporated together to create something more immersive and individualized. This has allowed me to develop treatments that are unlike a traditional sound therapy session and give clients an opportunity to experience multiple modalities in a single session.

I’m especially passionate about creating experiences that people may not be able to find elsewhere. Rather than simply offering the same type of session that is widely available, I am constantly thinking about how I can innovate, combine different approaches, and create something entirely new. Some of my most meaningful work has come from trusting my creativity and allowing the treatments to evolve organically as I continue learning and gaining experience.

What I am most proud of is that Sacred Tones Healing has truly grown from my own vision. Many of the experiences I offer today were not taken from a standard menu or copied from another practitioner—they were developed through years of education, exploration, experimentation, and a genuine desire to create something distinctive.

I believe that is ultimately what sets me apart. I bring together the intuition and creativity of an artist with the knowledge and experience I have gained as a vibrational sound and energy practitioner. I’ve always felt called to music and sound, even though I never played a traditional instrument, and today I get to use sound in a completely different way—as a medium for creating meaningful, immersive wellness experiences.

My goal is to continue pushing beyond what people traditionally think of when they hear the words “sound therapy.” I want Sacred Tones Healing to be known for innovation—for creating unique experiences at the intersection of sound, vibration, technology, and holistic wellness.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I believe one of the most important qualities contributing to my success is my ability to create a space where people feel safe enough to be open and truly themselves. Throughout my life, people have often felt comfortable sharing things with me, and I don’t take that trust lightly.

At the heart of my work is a genuine desire to help guide people back to their own inner knowing. I don’t believe in making empty promises that I can “heal” someone. I believe each of us has an incredible capacity for healing and self-awareness, but sometimes life experiences, stress, fear, and emotional patterns can create blocks that make it difficult for us to access that part of ourselves.

My role is to offer tools and create an environment that can help people slow down, feel safe, and reconnect. Through sound, vibration, and other modalities, my goal is to help create the conditions for deep relaxation and nervous system regulation. When we can quiet some of the constant external noise and become less reactive, we may be better able to hear what our own bodies, intuition, and inner wisdom have been trying to tell us.

I think my combination of genuine compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s individual journey is what guides my work. I don’t see myself as someone who has all the answers for another person. Instead, I see myself as someone who can walk alongside them and offer supportive tools and experiences that may help them reconnect with the answers that are already within them.

Ultimately, I believe people are drawn to authenticity. My purpose has never been to make grand promises—it has been to create a safe space, share the tools I have learned, and help empower people to trust their own capacity for growth and transformation.
