Hidden Gems: Meet Jasmyne Morgans of Diamond Valley Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmyne Morgans.

Hi Jasmyne, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Growing up in the struggle taught me two things early: resilience and survival. At the time, I didn’t realize it, but those experiences were building some of the most important qualities I would eventually need to become a leader and entrepreneur. I’ve always had a desire to help people. Straight out of high school, I began working alongside small businesses and nonprofit organizations, which eventually led me to co-founding a business that was heavily involved in our local community. Through that experience, I became deeply involved in philanthropy. I worked with organizations, supported community initiatives, and started helping them with their marketing. That’s when I fell in love with it. To me, marketing was never just about making a flyer or posting something on social media. It was about becoming part of someone’s team. It was understanding their vision, seeing potential they may not have seen yet, and figuring out how I could help them flourish. Over the next eight years, I continued learning the industry, building relationships, working with businesses and nonprofits, and discovering the kind of entrepreneur I wanted to become. Eventually, I realized it was time to build something of my own. That’s how Diamond Valley Marketing was born. The name represents exactly what I believe: there are gems everywhere—you just have to polish them into diamonds. Some businesses have an incredible product but don’t know how to tell their story. Some organizations are doing amazing work but aren’t getting seen. Some entrepreneurs have the vision but need someone in their corner who understands how to help bring it to life. That’s what I want Diamond Valley Marketing to do. We find the gems, uncover what makes them valuable, and help turn them into diamonds. And in a way, that message represents my own journey too. The things I went through growing up could have limited me. Instead, they became part of what built me. I learned how to survive, how to adapt, how to connect with people, and eventually, how to lead.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I grew up poor, experienced abuse, and saw firsthand how addiction can affect a family. I had to grow up quickly and learn resilience before I even knew what resilience meant. Every challenge taught me how to adapt, work hard, trust myself, and keep moving forward. I’m still learning and still building, but I’m proud of the woman those experiences pushed me to become. I’ve learned that you can come from difficult circumstances and still choose to create something beautiful with your life.
