Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am Glenda Dawson, an ordained non-denominational minister, spiritual mentor, multidimensional energy healer, psychic medium, Reiki Grandmaster and Teacher, author, speaker, and founder of Glenda’s Magical Creations Spiritual Center.
My professional journey has been anything but conventional. Before fully stepping into my spiritual work, I spent approximately 35 years working as a paralegal and office manager. That experience taught me discipline, organization, discernment, confidentiality, and how to support people through difficult and often life-changing circumstances. Over time, however, I felt an increasingly powerful calling to devote myself fully to healing, spiritual education, and service.
The mission behind Glenda’s Magical Creations Spiritual Center is to create a welcoming space where people can heal, reconnect with themselves, develop their spiritual gifts, and remember that they are more powerful than the circumstances they have endured. My work brings together energy healing, Reiki, spiritual mentorship, intuitive development, mediumship, channeling, regression, educational programs, and multidimensional healing practices.
My inspiration began very early in life. Before I was two years old, doctors believed I might never walk. During that time, I experienced what I understood to be the presence and healing of Archangels. On my second birthday, I made a deeply personal promise to the Divine Creator that I would dedicate my life to helping others. That promise became the foundation of everything I do today.
My purpose is not to tell people who they should become. It is to help them release what has buried their truth so they can remember who they have always been.
From an early age, I perceived the world differently. I experienced spiritual beings, intuitive knowing, and realities that were not always easy to explain within ordinary language. As a child, I had to learn how to live between the visible and invisible worlds while still functioning within everyday life.
For many years, I followed a more traditional professional path. My career as a paralegal and office manager required practicality, precision, responsibility, and strong judgment. Although it may appear very different from my spiritual work, it prepared me for leadership. It taught me how to listen carefully, recognize what is not being said, advocate for others, remain steady during difficult situations, and handle sensitive matters with integrity.
Like many purpose-driven women, I also experienced periods when I questioned whether I should make myself smaller so others would feel more comfortable. I faced misunderstanding, skepticism, personal loss, and the challenge of building a mission that did not fit neatly into one category. Rather than allowing those experiences to silence me, I learned to become more grounded, more discerning, and more confident in the work I had been “called” to do.
One of the most defining moments of my life remains the promise I made as a very young child to devote myself to helping others. Although I did not yet understand the full meaning of that commitment, my life continued to guide me back to it.
Eventually, I stopped separating my professional abilities from my spiritual gifts. I realized that my practical experience, intuition, compassion, leadership, and healing work were never meant to exist independently. They were meant to become one integrated path of service.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the greatest challenges has been remaining true to a mission that does not always fit conventional expectations.
Women in leadership are often expected to be strong but not intimidating, compassionate but not emotional, visible but not too powerful, and confident without making others uncomfortable. Women working in spiritual or healing fields may also encounter skepticism, misunderstanding, or assumptions that the work lacks discipline or professionalism.
I have had to overcome the pressure to make myself smaller, soften my truth, or explain my calling in ways that would be more acceptable to others. I learned that true leadership is not about becoming louder than everyone else. It is about becoming so rooted in your values that you no longer abandon yourself for approval.
Building an organization also required me to develop boundaries. A compassionate heart does not mean unlimited access. Service does not mean self-sacrifice without discernment. I had to learn that protecting my time, energy, intellectual work, and well-being was not selfish—it was necessary for sustainable leadership.
Challenges strengthened my resilience by teaching me to trust both intuition and evidence, remain teachable without surrendering my authority, and continue moving forward even when others could not yet see the vision.
Every difficult experience refined my leadership. It taught me to become more grounded, more genuine, more selective, and more committed to creating opportunities for others to rise without asking them to diminish who they are.
Another thing is that people sometimes misinterpret spiritual healing as vague, passive, or disconnected from real life. In truth, the work I do requires deep presence, ethics, discernment, training, responsibility, and compassion.
Energy healing is not about escaping life. It is about returning to yourself with greater clarity and strength. It is not about giving your power away to a practitioner. It is about learning to reconnect with your inner wisdom, your sovereignty, and your ability to participate in your healing journey.
People may also overlook that this work is not only for those going through personal spiritual awakening or emotional healing. It is also highly valuable for professionals, CEOs, founders, presidents, executives, entrepreneurs, and leaders navigating high-pressure environments. Many people in leadership positions are expected to perform, decide, guide, and produce without addressing the energetic, emotional, and spiritual weight they carry.
My work helps bridge that gap. It supports people in becoming more grounded, intuitive, clear, and aligned, not only in their personal lives but also in how they lead, communicate, build, and serve.
I always want people to understand that this work is sacred, but it is also practical. It meets people where they are, with compassion, honesty, respect, and the understanding that healing and leadership can walk hand in hand.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work includes individual healing sessions, group programs, spiritual education, intuitive development, mentorship, media, writing, and community-centered initiatives.
Through Glenda’s Magical Creations Spiritual Center, I offer multidimensional energy healing, Reiki, spiritual mentorship, psychic and mediumship development, channeling instruction, regression work, intuitive guidance, and specialized transformational sessions.
My individual sessions are designed to support people in releasing emotional, energetic, ancestral, and spiritual patterns while restoring balance, clarity, and personal sovereignty. Each person’s experience is approached with care, consent, confidentiality, and respect for their individual beliefs.
I also lead group healing transmissions, Reiki sessions, development circles, spiritual classes, channeling programs, starseed education, workshops, and longer transformational courses. These programs help participants strengthen intuition, understand their energetic boundaries, deepen self-awareness, develop spiritual gifts responsibly, and apply spiritual wisdom in practical daily life.
Education is an important part of my mission because spiritual development should not leave people feeling powerless or confused. I teach participants how to discern, ground, and protect their energy, understand their experiences, and take responsibility for their growth.
Through my podcast, YouTube programs, articles, interviews, and public speaking, I make spiritual and transformational concepts more accessible to a broader audience. I seek to bridge mystical understanding with grounded application so that people can bring greater awareness into their relationships, leadership, health journey, creativity, and work.
The central purpose behind every program is empowerment whether you are a CEO of a company or an individual on a growth path. I do not want people to have an inspiring experience simply. I want them to leave with greater clarity, stronger discernment, practical tools, and a deeper connection to their own inner authority.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice would be to listen to the calling that keeps returning, even if it does not make sense to everyone around you at first.
A purposeful career is not always built overnight. Sometimes it is shaped through challenges, detours, losses, awakenings, and moments when you are asked to trust yourself more deeply than ever before. Do not dismiss the experiences that shaped you. They may become the very medicine you are here to share with others.
Stay grounded. Stay ethical. Keep learning. Honor your gifts, but also honor your responsibility. Purpose is not just about doing what you love. It is about serving from a place of truth.
And for those in leadership, remember this: your energy enters the room before your title does. The more aligned, grounded, and clear you become within yourself, the more powerful and authentic your leadership becomes.
Do not wait until you feel perfect to begin. Begin with sincerity. Begin with courage. Begin with the light you already carry. The path will reveal itself as you continue to walk it.
