Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Maristch.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We started in 2020, with a fundraiser for local businesses who were shut down due to Covid. We would donate the majority of profit from each shirt sold to the business who’s customer purchased the shirt(s). Local businesses started reaching out to see if we could print their apparel after seeing our fundraiser shirts being printed. From there we gained a lot of customers and expanded by purchasing embroidery machines and offering promo items to become a one stop shop. We have really refined our processes and keep customer service and decoration quality our number one focuses. Even now with cheaper and sub-par decoration methods flooding the market, we stand strong on only providing what we think is the best for each of our customers.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road. Between supply chain issues, tarriffs, economic downturns and cheap competition, we have seen it all. We constantly adapt to each bump in the road and do what is best for both the customer and the business.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Northbrook Press provides screen printing, embroidery and promotional items to businesses, events and teams. If you can put your logo or brand on it, we will make it for you. We even have a mobile screen print setup that we can transport to print live for your event. What sets us apart from other is everything that leaves our shop is hand printed and we strive for top notch customer service. We have printed for start up companies to popular bands and artists. It doesn’t matter if you just started your journey or are a Fortune 500 company, we will do our best to make your merch look and feel the best it can!
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I am not a huge believer in luck but if I had to, I would say I have had good luck based on the fact that I have great, loyal customers that stick with me even when they have 1000 other vendors to choose from!
