Hi Amie and Coletta, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We’re a small wallpaper installation and house painting business in philly. We’ve known each other for years but only started our work relationship a few years ago. While working for Coletta’s brothers construction business we realized how well we work together and decided to break out on our own. As two queer women, we’ve found a real home in Philly’s queer homeowner community, and we’re grateful for it. As our business has grown, we’ve been able to hire from within that community too, giving people a shot at learning trades they don’t always get access to.
Our mission is pretty simple: do good work, build community, and bring people’s visions to life!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Doing the actual work comes naturally. Our major obstacle at the moment has been the logistics of running a business, like all the paperwork and taxes!
As you know, we’re big fans of Wall Witches Painting and Wallpaper. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Wall Witches is known for great communication, attention to detail, and respect and consideration for our clients. We specialize in interior painting and wallpaper installation, but also do color and design consultations, minor repairs, and wallpaper removal. Our brand is all about empowering people who are not always represented in the trades world!

We’re both fortunate enough to have supportive family and friends, and great clients! But specials shout outs go to Coletta’s brother, Tico, for getting us both into the trades and being a great mentor, and Amie’s wife, Chelsea, for doing all our branding.
