Hi Abdullah , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The idea of starting a Ghanaian style restaurant came about as we realized there was only one African restaurant serving the whole of Pittsburgh.
My wife and I then up with the idea of starting a Ghanaian style African restaurant to serve the greater Pittsburgh area. As we already had managed African restaurant before in Virginia, so starting off wias easy.
I think from 2025 to date we have been consistent with our flavors and giving our customers the taste of tradition that they deserve.
Now we can boldly say we are the only African restaurant in the greater Pittsburgh area.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has been very tough but with perseverance we have been able to achieve this feat. Challenges have always been how to acquire Loan for expansion and lack of publicity
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a train teacher from the university of Ghana. I’m a math teacher back in my country Ghana. I m proud of my achievement as a tutor when I look at where most of my student have gotten to in life .
Being able to leave my comfort zone and now working as a professional cook in my own restaurant sets me apart from others
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Most people people do not onow I’m a lead chef in my own restaurant
