Today we’d like to introduce you to Dion Dupree.
Hi Dion, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey through the music entertainment business began in 2012 when I started Grind Mode Management LLC. I began as the President of Nick Nice Productions managing DJs in Pittsburgh, Pa. My company began to evolve and expanded into the development of multiple companies that was designed to fill voids in the entertainment industry in Pittsburgh. The growth of Grind Mode led to me being highly sought out for advice and assistance in developing and scaling businesses, so in 2026, I began Dupree Strategic Consulting as a culmination of the legacy I built under the Grind Mode Ecosystem.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey has been fairly smooth but there have been a few challenges I was forced to adapt and overcome. Through those challenging moments, I discovered the importance of having a growth mindset and a strong will to succeed. I came to understand that success happens when you align your purpose with your passion. As I discovered key tools to help unlock a higher plain of existence, I began to help others unlock the key mental adjustments needed to align with the universal laws of attraction.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Dupree Strategic Consulting ?
I developed Dupree Strategic Consulting after realizing that I inspired alot of people and was being sought out for mentorship, guidance and advice. I applied various principles from understanding metaphysics and spiritual alignment into my practice because I learned how you think has a direct impact on the reality you exist in. I want clients who hire my consulting services to succeed so I provide a highly effective holistic approach to success. Its my goal to make sure my clients takes care of their first order of business, which is SELF, so I put a great deal of emphasis on making sure the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical health of my clients align with their professional goals. I also provide a fully customized roadmap designed for sustainability and growth. Thats where the “Strategic” aspect to consulting comes in to play. These are the things that sets me apart from other companies that provide consulting services. In addition, I utilized my network that expands 15 years of music business experience to provide tangible resources to help ensure success for my clients. As a Professional Member of the Recording Academy/GRAMMYs, I serve as a Grammy U Mentor. I am most proud of my ability to help people succeed through a process of executing on opulent levels of excellence. Dupree Strategic Consulting offers services based of areas of my expertise and experiences in Small Business Start Up and Scaling, Event Production, Branding, Marketing, Community Outreach, Talent Booking, Multimedia Development and Production. These services became my area of focus based off my ability to grow businesses under the Grind Mode Ecosystem, which was my Non-profit Organization, Grind Mode Multimedia Productions, Grind Mode Radio LIVE, Grind Mode Music Worldwide & Ur Vision Television Network. I felt it was vital that I serve as a lead for future generations looking to get into business and succeed.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is having a close tight knit family that would always gather for cookouts, family reunions and just spending time with each other.
