Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I originally got into kitchen and bath design and remodeling because I love seeing the transformation of a space. There is something incredibly satisfying about taking a kitchen or bathroom that isn’t working for someone and turning it into something beautiful, functional and completely different.
Working with clients to achieve their dreams is just as rewarding. Every project is different because every homeowner has different ideas, needs and priorities. The process of listening to what someone wants, figuring out how to make it work within their space, and then watching the project come together is something I truly enjoy.
Over the years, that passion grew into Inspiration Kitchen and Bath. After more than 25 years in the business, the creative problem-solving that comes with every project is still one of my favorite parts of what I do. It’s never just about choosing cabinets, countertops or tile. It’s about understanding how someone wants to live in their space and creating a finished room that feels like it was made specifically for them.
That personal connection is still a big part of how I run the business today. Our clients should feel that they have someone who is genuinely invested in getting the project right — from the first design ideas through the finished remodel.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. Remodeling is a complicated business, and there are a lot of moving parts that have to come together for a project to be successful. Over the years, I’ve had to learn how to navigate everything from changing products and industry trends to finding reliable tradespeople and dealing with the unexpected challenges that can come up during construction.
One of the biggest lessons has been learning that you can’t control everything. Even with careful planning, remodeling can uncover surprises once walls are opened or construction begins. The key is knowing how to problem-solve, communicate honestly with the client, and find a solution rather than letting a problem derail the project.
Owning a remodeling business has also taught me the importance of knowing which projects and clients are the right fit. Experience has given me a much better understanding of where I can provide the most value and how important it is to set realistic expectations from the beginning.
Those challenges have ultimately made me better at what I do. They have taught me to plan carefully, pay attention to the details, communicate clearly and, most importantly, stay focused on the end result — creating a space that my clients are genuinely happy with.

Inspiration Kitchen and Bath is a kitchen and bath design-build company specializing in creating spaces that are beautiful, functional and designed around the way our clients actually live. I love transforming a kitchen or bathroom that isn’t working and figuring out how to make it better. I often refer to myself as “The Kitchen Fixer” because I love solving problems and finding creative ways to make a space work.
I enjoy solving the problems that homeowners have with their existing spaces — whether it’s a poor layout, not enough storage, wasted space, outdated functionality or simply a room that no longer fits the way they live. Sometimes the best solution isn’t about making the space bigger; it’s about looking at it differently and finding a smarter way to use what is already there.
What sets us apart is the personal attention we give to every project. I stay closely involved in the design process and throughout the remodel, working with clients to make sure the finished space reflects their needs, style and priorities. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to remodeling, because every home and every homeowner is different.
I’m most proud of the reputation we’ve built through our clients and their experiences with us. Remodeling can be stressful and overwhelming, and our goal is to make the process as clear, organized and manageable as possible. Good design is important, but so are communication, problem-solving and follow-through.
At the end of the day, we’re not just selling cabinets, countertops or tile. We’re solving problems and creating spaces that people use every day. What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
If I had to choose one quality that has been most important to my success, it would be problem-solving. Remodeling rarely goes exactly according to plan, and I enjoy figuring out how to overcome challenges and find a solution that works for the client.
Being able to look at a space differently is a big part of that. Sometimes the obvious solution isn’t the best one, and finding a creative way to improve the layout, functionality or use of space can make all the difference. That ability to think through a problem and keep working until I find the right solution has served me well throughout my career.
Listening is an important part of being a good problem solver. You have to understand what the client is really trying to accomplish before you can design the right solution. The combination of listening, creativity and persistence has been a big part of what has kept me successful and passionate about this industry.
