Today we’d like to introduce you to Cedrick Dehaney.
Hi Cedrick, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began my journey into professional photography while studying for my Master of Science in Entertainment Business at Full Sail University. My courses, like Business Storytelling, Brand Development, and Digital Marketing, required me to create visual content. This involved capturing footage and producing images that told a story and represented a brand. What started as a school requirement quickly turned into a real passion for photography. As I spent more time behind the camera, I found it to be a unique way to express my creativity and preserve meaningful moments for people.
I wanted to go beyond just taking pictures. I aimed to learn more about the art, technique, and business side of professional photography. This desire led me to reconnect with my college friend, Leslie, who introduced me to her father, Malcolm Howe. He is an experienced photographer and entrepreneur. He generously mentored me and taught me valuable lessons. Malcolm showed me not only how to use a camera but also how to view photography as a business. He highlighted the importance of being professional, building relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and creating experiences that go beyond just delivering photographs.
He also helped me improve my photography skills, teaching me to capture the moments, emotions, and details that make each occasion special. Together, Malcolm and I started TS3 Photography, a full-service photography company that specializes in weddings and also offers corporate photography, special event coverage, portraits, and more. Weddings became a key focus of our work because they combine everything I love about photography: storytelling, emotion, connection, and those unique moments.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a photography business was hard. We struggled to find customers but worked hard to give them great experiences. Happy clients left good reviews, which helped us grow. I learned that building a business takes time and care for each client.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in weddings, events, corporate photography, and portraits. I enjoy capturing real moments and creating images that people can look back on for years to come.
What I’m most proud of is knowing that my work helps preserve lifelong memories for my clients. What sets me apart is my background in digital media and storytelling, which helps me see photography as more than just taking pictures.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Patience and consistency have been key to building my photography business. It’s a journey that takes time, and not every opportunity comes knocking right away. I’ve learned to stay focused, keep refining my skills, and always give each client my best.
