Today we’d like to introduce you to Tatiana Mendez.
Tatiana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my career in 2016 when I got enrolled to Lancaster County Career & Technology Center for Cosmetology during my last year in high school. I worked in two different salons before I met my mentor Sarah DeJesus at Wavelengths Salon. Sarah molded me into the stylist & owner I am today!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There was some struggles along the way, I often thought about quitting and starting a different career due to not making enough to survive! I worked at Sephora for many years as a second income while building my clientele. Once I got to where I would like I to be I decided to leave Sephora and focus on my path.
We’ve been impressed with Beauty by Tati LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a licensed cosmetologist and specialize in blonding services! I majorly work on dark hair that want to achieve a specific tone of blondes. Even though my speciality is blonding services, I do offer haircuts!
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I would say staying positive throughout the good and bad times!
