Today we’d like to introduce you to Traci Fick.
Hi Traci, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In 2022, I found myself out of work. Burned out from healthcare leadership, I began exploring my creative side. I’ve always loved desktop publishing and designing; without employment, I had the mental bandwith and time to begin creating. I started with designing t-shirts and planned to expand my offerings beyond that. My faith and relationship with Christ are the source of everything good in my life and I wanted to express that and encourage others in that. I tossed around many names but decided to go with November Girl, as my birthday is in November. A few days before my business launch, I ran into problems with my website and publishing. I was so disappointed that I let the idea of launching go. Soon thereafter I began working again in a stressful job and just didn’t have the energy to create. Fast forward to December 2025. On the eve of the 2026 new year, I felt compelled to revisit my dream and to pick up where I left off in 2022. After studying my previous mistakes and investing in a few solid design tools, I was ready to move forward with November Girl. In April 2026, I published my first journal, ‘Abiding In His Presence’ on Amazon. Since then, I’ve designed 12 journals, 4 t-shirts and 1 Bible tote. My designs are all unique, faith-forward and created exclusively for November Girl Gifts & Apparel. I love my business but I really consider it a ministry. My goal is to encourage women to boldly wear their faith out loud.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has not been smooth. While I’ve had great mentors and other creatives to learn from, technology can be overwhelming. I’ve had to learn new publishing and design programs. AI is incredible but not always easy to manipulate. The biggest challenge, however, has been time. Being a full-time professional and wife, I’ve had to learn how to prioritize November Girl Gifts & Apparel while leaning on my husband and family to take care of the home. Overall, the struggles have been worth it!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My day job is as a mid-level manager for a state government agency. My college degrees are in Social Work and Human Services. I have a love for people and consider it my life’s work to be an encourager and support to those I encounter. I pour this into my ministry, November Girl Gifts & Apparel. It really is about women and encouraging them to be their best selves through Christ.
November Girl Gifts & Apparel exists to serve and uplift women of faith through intentional, inspiring creations. As a female-owned, online business serving customers nationally and internationally, the brand is built on a mission to help women express their faith boldly and authentically. Each product is designed to support moments of prayer, reflection, and growth—turning everyday life into an opportunity to stay connected with God. November Girl is more than a brand; it is a space created to encourage, strengthen, and walk alongside you in your journey with Christ.
What does success mean to you?
I define success as having a positive impact on the lives of others. This can be through a kind word, mentoring or physically helping someone in financial need. The ultimate success for me is being able to say Jesus is not only my Savior but the Lord of my life. Because of my relationship with Him, I can live a fruitful life.
