Life & Work with Brian Hart of Pennsylvania

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Hart.

Hi Brian, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Serenescape Solutions started with a simple goal: build something we could be proud of while creating a better future for our families. I’ve spent over 16 years in the lawn care industry, learning every aspect of the business, but I always dreamed of building a company that reflected my own values. Alongside my business partner Taylor, we took the leap and started Serenescape Solutions with hard work, determination, and a willingness to learn.

We didn’t start with a fleet of brand-new equipment or endless resources. We started with long days, late nights, and the belief that if we treated every customer’s property like it was our own, the business would grow. There have been setbacks, lessons, and plenty of growing pains, but every challenge has made us better.

Today, we’re more than a landscaping company—we’re building a business centered on trust, craftsmanship, and community. Whether it’s transforming a backyard, helping a homeowner maintain their property, or giving someone an opportunity to work and grow, that’s what success looks like to us. We’re still writing our story, and we’re grateful to every customer who has trusted us to be a part of it.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many small business owners, we’ve had to build everything from the ground up while balancing full-time jobs, family responsibilities, and the financial pressure that comes with starting a business. There have been moments where equipment broke down, jobs didn’t go as planned, customers canceled, or we questioned whether we were making the right decisions.

One of the biggest challenges has been learning to wear every hat—owner, estimator, marketer, accountant, salesperson, and crew member—all at the same time. No one hands you a blueprint for running a business, so a lot of our growth has come through experience, mistakes, and being willing to adapt.

We’ve also learned that success isn’t measured by never facing obstacles—it’s measured by how you respond to them. Every challenge has made us more resilient, improved our systems, and reinforced why we started Serenescape Solutions in the first place. Today we’re stronger, more experienced, and even more committed to providing the kind of service our customers can trust.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
With being in the lawn and landscape industry for more than 16 years, and today I have the privilege of leading Serenescape Solutions while continuing my career in the green industry. Our company specializes in landscape design, property transformations, lawn care, hardscaping, seasonal maintenance, and snow management, but what we’re really in the business of is building relationships.

I’m most proud of the trust we’ve earned from our customers. We believe communication, honesty, and attention to detail matter just as much as the finished project. We don’t believe in cutting corners or treating jobs as just another stop on the schedule. Every property belongs to someone’s home or business, and we approach it with that level of respect.

What sets us apart is our commitment to continuous learning and doing things the right way. With years of industry experience, we combine proven practices with a genuine passion for helping people improve and enjoy their outdoor spaces. At the end of the day, our goal isn’t just to leave behind a beautiful property—it’s to leave behind customers who are confident they chose the right company and who feel valued long after the job is finished.

What are your plans for the future?
Our biggest focus for the future is continuing to grow Serenescape Solutions while staying true to the values we started with. We want to expand our landscaping, hardscaping, and property maintenance services, invest in additional equipment, and continue building a team that shares our commitment to quality and customer service.

One area we’re especially excited about is launching our holiday lighting division. It’s a service that allows us to help homeowners and businesses in a new way while creating year-round opportunities for our company and employees. We want to provide professional design, installation, maintenance, and removal so customers can enjoy the holidays without the stress.

More than anything, our goal is to build a company that our community knows they can trust. We hope to continue creating jobs, serving more families and businesses, and becoming a name people think of whenever they need help improving or maintaining their property. We’re excited for what’s ahead, but we’re even more grateful for everyone who’s helped us get to this point.
