Check Out Moses Olaniyi’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Moses Olaniyi.

Hi Moses, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
At 12 years old, I started making videos on YouTube to share my creativity and personality with the world. I filmed with a mobile device before switching to a good-quality camera. I learned the basics of video editing, sound, and good lighting. Later on, it helped build my confidence and skills behind the camera. I became more comfortable speaking in front of a camera and expressing myself.

I’m also a Nigerian-American with a hobby in art and watching films. I love to draw, sketch, and watch movies. I would make drawings and sketches of objects, cartoon characters, public figures, and animals. As a child, many people would be impressed at how good I could draw.

In 2025, I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. With a Bachelor of Science degree in media production.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I did face challenges and setbacks in my journey. While I made improvements in my own production, I struggled with trying to reach and build an audience on YouTube. Building and growing a community on social media is not easy. It takes consistency, time, and patience to get discovered.

During my freshman year in college, I faced setbacks and struggles in another field of study. It led me to switch majors completely in my sophomore year.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a content creator who writes, films, and edits content on my YouTube channel and other social media platforms. I create a variety of content, including vlogs, skits, short films, and art. I plan and write out ideas that I find interesting, and implement them into a creative story. My focus is on creating quality content to inspire and help others.

I’m also a worker member of the media team for my local church, where I grew up. I operate a multi-camera switcher and handle visual transmission during service.

During the summer of 2025, I worked as a video editor intern for a real estate company. It’s where I edited video and photo projects on property renovations. Using storytelling to bring awareness to the company.

I’m known for being a calm, easy-going, and hardworking person. What I’m most proud of is having faith and a good support system around me. Including my parents, friends, and colleagues who support what I do.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I learned that failure will lead to success. There have been times when I failed a lot and felt frustrated. Especially during my time at the university, the road to getting my degree wasn’t easy. But I endured those difficult times and kept going.

I also learned to be my authentic self and to step out of my own comfort zone. If you are dedicated and committed to what you do and put in hard work, it will always pay off in the end.
