Meet Christine Richardson of JCR Integrated Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Richardson.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m Christine, the founder of JCR Integrated Wellness. My journey into holistic health started with my own recovery after a car accident, I discovered the profound impact that massage and acupuncture could have on the body. I knew I wanted to dedicate my career to helping others access that same kind of care.

After years of honing my craft at The Lodge at Woodloch and the Healing Arts Center, I opened JCR Integrated Wellness to prioritize the thing I value most: the relationship with my clients. I feel that healing happens when you feel truly heard. In my sessions, my goal is to meet your body exactly where it is, listening to what your muscles and spirit need, and ensuring you always leave feeling safer, lighter, and more connected to yourself.”

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My Journey hasn’t been a straight line—it’s been an uphill climb that I am still navigating today. Getting started was fueled by my own healing journey, but the path to building JCR Integrated Wellness was rarely easy. Returning to school at 40 presented its own set of hurdles, particularly managing ADHD, which made testing and academics a true test of grit and patience. On top of that, launching a business shortly after the pandemic—while navigating the inevitable insecurities of entrepreneurship and past workplace challenges—pushed me to my limits. However, every obstacle has reinforced why I do this. I am endlessly grateful for the wonderful clients who have stood by me. They are the reason I keep climbing, and they make every challenge worth it.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
You should know that JCR Integrated Wellness was born from a personal journey of recovery. My path into holistic health began after a car accident, where I experienced firsthand how ineffective typical Western medicine could be for certain types of healing, and conversely, how profoundly massage and acupuncture could restore the body. I am a practitioner who has walked the same path as many of my clients. I have faced an uphill climb to get here—navigating a career change in my 40s, managing ADHD, and launching a business in the wake of a global pandemic—but these challenges have only deepened my ability to listen and understand what true healing requires.”

I specialize in integrative bodywork. I am known for providing care that is deeply intuitive and highly personalized. Rather than following a ‘one-size-fits-all’ protocol, I focus on ‘feeling’ what the body needs. Whether it is physical tension or the need for a nervous system reset, I specialize in creating a sanctuary where clients feel safe enough to truly let go. My work is known for being a blend of technical expertise and deep, compassionate listening.

What sets me apart is the experience of being a former patient. I know what it feels like to be in pain, to feel unheard by the medical system, and to be overwhelmed by the healing process. Because of this, my sessions are not just clinical treatments they are partnerships. I don’t just treat the muscles; I treat the person. I have developed a high level of sensory intuition—I am known for being able to ‘hear’ what a body needs through touch—and I provide a level of safety and presence that is often missing in high-volume, standard wellness environments.

I am most proud of the resilience of the brand itself. Starting a business shortly after The pandemic, while balancing the hurdles of neurodivergence and the insecurities that come with entrepreneurship, was not easy. There were many moments of doubt. But I am proud that JCR Integrated Wellness has become a place where clients feel genuinely seen and heard. I am proud that I didn’t give up when the climb felt too steep. It serves as a reminder to my clients that if I can persist through my own challenges to provide this space, they can persist through theirs to find healing.

I want readers to know that JCR Integrated Wellness is a safe harbor. If you have ever felt like just another number in a medical office, or if you’ve struggled to find a practitioner who truly listens to your body’s unique language, I want you to know that there is a different way. My offerings are designed to slow down the pace of life and help you reconnect with yourself. Whether you are dealing with chronic stress or recovering from physical trauma, my services are designed to give you back the agency and care that you deserve. You are the expert of your own body; I am simply here to help you unlock the healing potential that is already within you.
