Daily Inspiration: Meet Anthony Turco

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Turco.

Hi Anthony, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
7 years ago I was in a horrible auto accident which took me out of my life career as an HVAC Controls Tech and Pipefitter. While this accident brought me right to the edge of death, I am today now very grateful for the event. I was working a shutdown back in 2018 at a glass manufacturer. I worked around 32 hours between a Saturday and Sunday and then I also worked that following Monday for a half day. I completed work at around 11am on Monday and left the facility but never made it home. I fell asleep and at 65mph I ran into the back of a broken down tractor trailer that was on the right shoulder of the highway. I had many life threatening injuries but over the years I healed up almost back to 100%. During my recovery years is when I started my business. I’ve been playing guitar for near 20 years now and have always tinkered with my own gear with repairs and mods. I tend to have a difficult time sitting still so recovery from the accident was difficult especially with not working. I began building wiring harnesses for guitars and started selling them. A wiring harness is the controls for the guitar or bass. So the volume and tone controls as well as toggle switches for the pickup selection. My harnesses became really popular and soon I was being asked to build cables by a lot of clients. At that point I didn’t really want to entertain that side of the business but I am forever grateful for taking the leap into the cable side of the business. During my time of cable building I did create a new cable design that I call my Wizard Cables. This has become my most successful selling product. This cable has a special value capacitor soldered inside one of the plugs driving the capacitance of the cable to a certain measurement. This gives the cables an incredible EQ and Tone. I’ve been very fortunate to get to work with some incredible artist. I’ve done work for Steven Van Zandt, Gary Clark Jr., Slash, O.A.R., Jared James Nichols, Davy Knowles, Monolord, and many more.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Running a business alone has been the most difficult aspect of this all. I do everything, I build, test, create, design, produce content for all social media, customer service, pack and ship. It’s been tough to keep up with the demand and regular life. I’m looking to start expanding very soon.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I build and design wiring harnesses, and custom cables for bass and guitars plus other instruments. My work ethic and attention to detail sets me apart. I’m very concerned about design, quality and durability. I stand behind all of my products with 100% confidence that I am building the best there is. I really trust my ears and I only build and sell the exact items that I use personally on my very own guitar rig. Everything I build will have a positive tonal impact on your sound. I’m most proud of my perseverance and dedication. My brain is always on like a highway with ideas zooming by. While this can be a curse it is also a blessing. This is one of my side effects from my traumatic brain injury.

What matters most to you?
What matters to me is the satisfaction of my clients. I want them to immediately hear and feel the difference when they use one of my products. I also love teaching clients anything I’ve learned along the way. I often share videos of how I do this or that. Knowledge is everything for me. I love sharing my adventures and experiences.
