Inspiring Conversations with Lawrence McCoy of Holy Horizons LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lawrence McCoy.

Hi Lawrence, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
At just 18 years old, I operate as a multidisciplinary artist and tech strategist, blending web design, multimedia production, IT consulting, and social media strategy. My journey began during my sophomore year of high school when I landed a web design internship. By senior year, I had climbed the ranks to Senior Web Designer, managing high-value client contracts before I even graduated. Post-graduation, I briefly took a job at a local grocery store, slowing my momentum just long enough to receive a clear wake-up call. Three months in, God showed me exactly what was possible if I took a leap of faith and backed it with relentless effort. I quit, took the leap, and launched my own Tech Solutions Company. Within months, I scaled my clientele, delivering critical IT and web solutions to businesses and non-profits across Harrisburg. Now, I’m breaking into multimedia production and music artist management—proving that passion, faith, and execution have no age limit.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road; the journey has tested my resilience at every turn. Growing up on the West Shore, I faced intense racial tensions, culminating in my freshman year at a private school where I experienced direct hatred and harassment, including being called the n-word. On a personal level, navigating fake friendships and toxic relationships left me constantly doubting my own worth and potential. The weight of it all caught up to me post-graduation, pulling me into a deep depression where I completely lost faith in God and my future. But hitting that rock bottom is exactly what forced me to find my inner strength. Processing that pain didn’t break me—it built the grit, faith, and clarity I needed to break through and claim my own future.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
